You will begin your tour at Battery Park, a public park located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island. Here, you will briefly see the attractions and monuments that the park contains and learn all about its history as one of the oldest parts of Manhattan.
Castle Clinton National Monument
Before making your way to Liberty Island, you will learn about Castle Clinton, a landmark representing not only the city’s growth but the growth of the nation. Built from 1808 to 1811, it was the first US immigration station where more than 8 million people arrived in the United States between 1855 to 1890.

5.00My daughter and I had a wonderful time with Charlie as our guide. This being our first time in NYC we appreciated how he went above and beyond and sent us suggestions on places to shop, see, eat etc. His knowledge was exceptional and charisma was delightful. I highly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky to get Charlie you’ll be glad you did!

5.00Kate was an awesome guide and made our experience great. We went to both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis. Since it was only me and my family she gave us some flexibility to stay and focus on areas we wanted to see and learn more about. Very knowledgeable, gave really good context, and we felt like we learned a ton in a short period of time!

5.00Charlie was an incredible tour guide. He kept us engaged and laughing, and taught us so much about the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This was a meaningful trip for me as I knew my great-grandparents came through Ellis Island and Charlie knew just how to make it special. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him and Babylon Tours again.

5.00Our Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour was really wonderful. Our Tour Guide, Charlie was a fantastic guide. He was so friendly and his style was animated and very engaging with us all -- it was like he became part of the family : ). He made sure we had all of the important facts and got us in and out and off the ferry quickly and efficiently haha! He even took a selfie on my phone which I found later after the tour which was pretty hilarious! Charlie supplied us with a nice list of additional "must sees" for places to see and restaurants that he thought we would enjoy, and we did go to a few of them and all were great recommendations. Charlie is a keeper, and we will never forget him (especially since we have a nice photo of him added to our NYC Trip photos. Thanks again for a great job and fun tour.

5.00Just did an amazing tour semi private through Babylon Tours with an awesome guide Charlie M. Weather held off the whole time a little wind otherwise non factor. Charlie did a fabulous job. Starting with communication via our cell Devices by directing us to Battery Park (our meeting place) The Clinton Castle and providing us with a great photo of himself for easy identification. We were a little knowledgeable of Ellis Island we thought. Charlie wowed us with his historical knowledge and background on the facts. He is well rounded in not just Ellis Island and Liberty Island. Charlie is a well traveled gentleman of the world. Background in NYC and surrounding sites throughout this NE region and numerous destinations in the world. He is so personable and an all around happy and pleasant man. We felt truly blessed throughout the morning. Can’t say enough about his enthusiasm for what his does.
