We booked the Midtown Walking Tour with visit to SUMMIT One. The night before the tour, a guide reached out indicating he would be meeting us at Grand Central Station for a one hour tour there, followed by our trip to SUMMIT One. After communicating to him that this was not the tour we wanted, he said he’d let the tour operator know and we’d be getting a different guide, as the midtown walking tour was not what he does. We then got a call from the company confirming the same Grand Central tour. We communicated this is not what we signed up for. We still had no updates on the morning of the tour, so after reaching out again, the company told us we would be able to meet the guide in Time Square and do the walking tour as planned. I asked for contact information for our guide and they gave me the information for the original guide from the day before. We did end up meeting him, Eric, and he did a great job. So zero issues with Eric, but a very frustrating experience with the company and Eric ultimately ended up doing a tour he wasn’t necessarily wanting or ready to do. Save your money and do a different tour of the city and SUMMIT One experience on your own.

Our guide, Lee, was super knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us just the right amount of history, fun facts, and insider tips as we walked through Midtown. It was only about an hour, which is great if you’re short on time. The tour ends at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, which features several incredibly photogenic spaces. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the balloon room. It’s super fun and makes for some amazing, unique pictures. P.S. Long dresses are fine, but if you’re wearing short skirts it’s easy to be exposed in the mirror room because the floor reflects.

I had an amazing tour with Lee! He was so professional and friendly throughout, even alerting us of potential scams in Times Square that we should watch out for before meeting up. The tour itself was 1 hr walking around different landmarks and learning some pretty interesting/funny history along the way. After an hr, Lee dropped us off at the Summit entrance. Once inside Summit, I was able to stay for as long as I want.

I really enjoyed this tour! The guide, Lee, was so knowledgable about the city and its history. It was great to have a small group on the tour so that it felt more personable and engaging, and having the tickets for the SUMMIT One pre-arranged made it such a seamless experience!

Amazing tour! My guide Lee made Midtown come alive with fun stories and hidden gems. The highlight was SUMMIT One Vanderbilt - breathtaking views and such a unique experience. Small group, great pace, and so much more personal than a big bus tour. Highly recommend!
