The river trip was amazing. It took two hours plus to reach the destination and showed off the river and the banks to great effect. Commentary was good too. Very civilised and luxurious way to travel. Enjoyed the wine tasting. The meal was fantastic. I took the coach tour that went to two wineries, brewery and chocolatier. It was very good and the coach driver very helpful.

The cruise only goes part way. Then you go by bus for the wine tasting. There is some wine on the boat where you have lunch.

This was a great trip that I'd certainly recommend if you've not visited the Swan Valley. The initial 2.5-hour boat ride up the Swan River was lovely - the three wines we tasted were really good, the lunch was delicious and the boat itself was spacious. The only downside was the PA / driver was quite quiet, so it was a bit tricky to hear him. The four stops were all in lovely locations and the food and/or drink we received was superb. The chocolate shop was a great final stop, with so much choice, and we got back to Perth about 5.15pm. All in all, we had an awesome time.

Day started off great, the coach was comfortable (for 20pax) and left Barrack St Jetty on time. Keith our driver was knowledgeable and friendly. First tasting at Sandalford was well organised and we had space to all gather and hear our host. Next stop at Mandoon Estate was not so great. Stood in the entry way to checkin/tastings room. Couldn’t hear anything the host said so kept asking once we got close enough what we were tasting. Lunch at Mandoon was nice, pizza was an Australia large in size and we could have shared one between two. Final winery was Lancaster, like our first stop, better space for group tastings, the cheese platters provided were delicious and plenty for all to indulge in. Chocolate Factory had lots to choose from with a truffle tasting included. Then onto the river for our cruise back to Perth. This is where they lost points. Unfortunately a very large and loud group were onboard, the staff requested they be respectful of others, which worked for 10mins. It was difficult to get alcoholic drinks on board as each person had to get there own, which is difficult for the person (me) sitting against the window in a booth style set up. I need 3 other passengers to move so I could shuffle my way out of my seat, then the same to return to my seat. The entertainment at the end was nice but the volume along with the large, loud group was too much. We are normally the people up there dancing and singing along, but on this occasion, couldn’t wait to get off. We recommend taking the cruise at the start of the day, then catching the coach back to Perth.

Very good for people who are interested in wine sample/testing. Visit to a chocolate factory/shop was also interesting and enjoyable.

The river cruise was a resounding success for my husband and me, with its exceptional crew, culinary delights, wine selection, and playlist. The air-conditioned boat and bus provided a comfortable escape from today's 40-degree Celsius heat. At the Margaret River Chocolate outlet, we were given a complimentary truffle of our choice. We savoured 12 wine tastings at two wineries, accompanied by a delightful cheese board at one. The brewery visit was a particular highlight for my husband, who enjoyed the complementary glass of icy cold beer and crispy fried chips. Our bus driver, Shaun, was top-notch. We highly recommend this 7-hour day trip.

Boat ride, lunch, wines on the boat was great. Lancaster winery was a disaster, worst experience at a winery we’ve had. It was already super busy, our group was 30+ people. The guy explained the first wine and left because other groups were too loud (3 large coach buses in the parking lot). We were given 6 bottles and told to pour ourselves. People free poured full glasses and we didn’t get to taste everything. Toilets were filthy. Half our group dropped at the boat then the remaining winery/chocolate factory/brewery was average. We wish we stayed on the boat all day, indulge package was not worth it.
