Chochołow Thermal Baths are the largest thermal complex in Podhale region. The water in pools is extracted from a depth of nearly 3600 metres below the ground and is rich in nutrients such as sulphur, magnesium, sodium or calcium - said to have beneficial influence on health medically and therapeutically. In total there is over 30 swimming pools with the temperature of water raging from 32 to 36 degrees Celsius. Water barrels are situated both indoors and outdoors.

What To Expect
The drive from Krakow can take up to two hours one way. There are 3-8 hours to be spent in the thermal baths and pools of the Chocholow Thermal Baths complex. Tickets for it are included. What makes it even more enjoyable, is the panoramic view of the Tatra Mountains surrounding the complex. A trip to the Chocholowska Thermal Baths is a good idea for families, couples and anyone who wants to relax or improve their health and strength. The complex provides different attractions such as water basketball, volleyball, waterfalls, wild river, inflatable slides and many more - however, some of them are available only in the summer. There are zones designed especially for children. Also, hungry stomachs can be filled during the visit to the restaurant inside. Please note that if you want to use saunas additionally the complex regulations state that it is obligatory to enter them undressed.

5.00The companion although speaking in English worried that we understood all the indications. It is curious the outdoor pools with snowy mountain background. They are not 100% relaxing baths, but you can rest in the hot tubs.

4.00Worth the 15 soles. The "natural pools" are well fought in the high season, but allow a relaxing bath anyway. Very hot water. Negatives: access and lack of wardrobes for changing clothes and bathing.

5.00Our Zakopane tour was the highlight of our trip. The views of the Tatra Mountains are breathtaking and feel like something straight out of a postcard. The funicular ride was a fantastic experience, with incredible panoramic views and plenty of time at the top to take photos and soak in the scenery. The cheese and vodka tasting was great. We loved learning about the traditional smoked cheese, tasting it fresh with cranberry sauce, and sampling local vodkas. It was a great way to experience local culture and traditions. The thermal baths were the best and a perfect way to end the day. After a full day of sightseeing, relaxing in the warm outdoor pools with mountain views was pure bliss. The facilities were clean, well organised, and incredibly relaxing. We could easily have stayed there all day. What truly made this trip exceptional, however, was our driver Piotr. He went above and beyond in every possible way. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and he made sure everyone was comfortable, informed, and having the best possible experience. Nothing was too much trouble - from adjusting timings, offering helpful tips, answering questions, and his positive attitude and attention to detail turned a great tour into an unforgettable one. If you’re considering a Zakopane tour this is the one. Amazing sights, great activities, seamless organisation, and a driver who truly made the day special. Highly recommended!

Despite the challenging weather and road conditions he stayed positive throughout and he made the drive feel safe! 5.00Piotr was brilliant driving in the poor conditions and explaining everything to us as we went along. Views from Zakopane were stunning despite poor visibility due to snowfall and the short trip for cheese and wine was a welcome break from the lengthy drive. At the spa Piotr explained what to do, where to go and made sure we all had a fantastic time. A must do when visiting Krakow!

5.00A fantastic full day out. Picked up at 8am and after a brief stop to try some local sheep’s cheese and cranberry we then spent 3 hours enjoying the snow, scenery and exploring in Zakopane. The day finished with another 3 hours relaxing in the thermal spa - the outdoors pools in particular were a very special experience. Our guide Michael was extremely friendly and informative throughout, often giving tips on how to get the most out of our stops. Would highly recommend this trip!
