Emperor Shah Jahan built this exquisite white marble mausoleum for his favourite queen Mumtaz Mahal. The monument was commissioned in 1631 and took 20,000 artisans, 22 years to complete. Once you have taken some memorising morning photos, there is time to explore the Taj.

5.00We were picked up at our hotel and escorted on to the train. The train journey was an experience and worth doing. Once we arrived in Agra we were collected by our guide and presented with beautiful flower garlands. The Taj Mahal was more impressive than I had imagined and our guide ensured we got lovely photos to remember our trip as well as giving us detailed information. Lunch was included and it was delicious. We then Visited the fort and again were met with beautiful buildings and stunning photo opportunities. We would highly recommend this trip
