Good experience, having a guide was helpful since it was my first time in tiruvannamalai. The wait at temple is long so i would suggest going earlier, otherwise everything was good. Shakti was my guide and he was very helpful. He helped carry my bag and get extra water and with the monkeys. Good tour for first timers

It is nice place and safe , but for ladies please wear loose clothing and make sure you apply kumkum on forehead . This way shows you are on spiritual journey and you ll be safe .

The Guide does not add any value other than accompanying you . Do not waste money. Use google maps. You will be fine.

I visited on the day of gurupurnima. I did a last minute booking and sathish was extremely helpful and immediately responded to my queries about the booking. I did a day trip from Chennai and came back the same day. He made sure I reached the correct pick up location. That day cars were not allowed in the city due to the festival and Sakthi came to pick me up on his bike. He was polite, safe and a very sweet. He made sure I was careful while climbing down the hill, which I found a bit difficult because we were barefoot. He made sure I had adequate time to meditate at various points in the beautiful quiet caves and ashrams. I highly recommend booking with them if you're looking for a day trip. The ashrams is beautiful , with many peacocks, monkeys and trees! The day of Purnima is when devotees travel there to do the pradakshina of the holy hill so it was very crowded, but it was a lovely atmosphere to see hundreds walking the street ,barefoot for many kilometers. The darshan of the main temple however wasn't possible for me as it was a huge line...the paid line was 2hours long as well and I was short of time. Over all had a lovely day, as they made sure I saw maximum things in a short time and very punctual, polite and warm. Thank you to Sathish and Sakthi.

Thank you so much for your time today. As soon as I arrived, I didn't know much about this area, so I asked for a tour guide. It was a motorcycle tour. I had him drive around Arunachala Mountain in a safe way. The guides are very kind and attentive. They explained slowly in easy English. God not only taught me about plants, but also about plants. I also learned how to pray, which will help me when I visit God in India.

Guide said meet @ 9:30. He did not arrive until 10:40 By then, we had moved to a cafe nearby, out of the sun. He waited for us to finish our tea and then took us outside to his transportation - a motorcycle! We booked for 2 adults. Between 9:30 and 10:30, while we waited, he reported “ I’m coming, I’m coming!” I dunno why he wasn’t on time as he suggested the time and I confirmed using the same texting chat - he had the information! It was very hot waiting and wasted our morning time.

We visited Tiruvannamalai (Arunachalam) in the month of Karteeka that to full moon day (Nov. 7 to 10, 2022).we reached 3:00PM on 7th Nov 22. We stayed in ATHITHI AASHRAM. Ashram is neet and clean. Rooms are spacious. Bedsheets, pillow covers are washed, pressed. Food is delicious. Ashram gate closes by 9:30PM except on full moon day. We went GIRIVALAM on 7th evening (6:30PM) itself. Finished by 00:30. Returned to Ashram. Next day early morning (5:00) went to Darshan We had our Darshan by 2:30 PM. ( VERY VERY RUSH BEING FULL MOON DAY that to the month of Karteekam. Took rest on that day. Next day went to visit local temples around Tiruvannamalai and performed once more GIRIVALAM by car and returned to Ashram by 9:00PM. On 10th we went again for Darshan. Took tickets for Paala Ahishekam (milk Abhishekam) for both Arunachaleswar and Amma. Returned to Ashram by 11:30. Had lunch (12:30PM). Left by car at 2:30PM to Srirangam.
