It is an interesting experience! We always do private tours. We would like the drivers to know a little bit of English. We shared 5 days with the driver in the car, and there was not interaction. He was extraordinarily correct, and carefully prepared for the crazy drive around the Golden Triangle roads. In the hotels for the safari, and Jaipur hotel, the buffets showed the name of the food only in Indy language. There were no options for another kind of food, even pasta was spicy. However, people were very cordial and attentive!
