Today we will take you on the impressive Guilin Longsheng tour. Please get up early and have a big breakfast. Our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel at 9am and transport you to the awe-inspiring Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces (aka Longji Terraces).

Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces

After a two-hour drive we will reach the entrance for the Longji Terraces where you need purchase entrance tickets for the rice terraces in Ping'an Village and then also need about a 40-minute drive. This village has the most famous and beautiful rice terraces in Longji. The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces is a splendid agricultural spectacle with a history of more than 650 years. The most eye-catching part of the terrace cluster is the Ping'an Village Rice Terrace, which was the earliest one discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields dug along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. There are viewing platforms for visitors to view the entire terrace fields built tier upon tier. While you are there you can also experience the minority Zhuang people's traditional way of life. It is quite interesting to help them in the fields, try on their bright-colored ethnical costumes, and visit their unique stilted houses.

Great excursion full of beautiful landscapes. The rice terraces are truly something you can’t miss while in Guilin. The trip included pick up from the hotel. Our guide Hill was really good and helped constantly to facilitate tickets, orderings and payments. Pleasant cable car to the top of the mountain and a visit to a traditional village where ladies never cut their hair. The show in the traditional village, entry to the park, cable car and lunch are not included in the price so that’s something you should consider (about 350 yuans more).
