We did a 10 day trip in Bhutan with Omsha Travel. We covered the usual cultural sites of Paro, Thimpu and Punakha as well as other locations in Central Bhutan like Phobjikha, Trongsa and Yongkhola for birding activities. The overall booking process was very smooth and easy - Nawang was very responsive and provided itineraries and costs in a very transparent manner. The actual trip was quite flawless - Pema (birding guide) and Tashi (driver) met us at Paro airport and were with us throughout the trip. They made us feel at home right from the start and shared a lot of information and tips about Bhutan throughout the trip. Pema was very knowledgeable about the local bird species and his experience was vital in seeing 100+ bird species, most of which were completely new to me. Bhutan does not have dedicated bird sanctuaries or birding trails/hides - so, most of the birding is done along the highways and local roads - Pema knew exactly where to stop for a specific type of birds. Tashi was a very steady driver all through out (and we had quite a few long driving days) - always ready with a smile and infectious enthusiasm. Overall, it was a beautiful experience in a beautiful country - probably one of the last untouched Himalayan lands. Hopefully, will come back for another trip in spring, when the birds are said to be even more active.

Omsha provided us with the trip of a lifetime. Nawang was patient and responsive as we created a custom tailored tour. He found off the beaten path activities that provided an intimate look at day to day life in Bhutan. Our guides Sonam and Tashi were warm, funny, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. We left the country feeling that we had gained new family. Thank you to Omsha from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you, Omsha Travel, for crafting such a meaningful and spiritually aligned experience in Bhutan. From start to finish, everything was planned with care, clarity, and deep understanding of what I was seeking. Special thanks to Nawang for designing a trip that went far beyond sightseeing. It was a true inner pilgrimage, and one I will always remember. I’m especially grateful to Pema, an extraordinary guide who opened the doors to the soul of Bhutan with authenticity and kindness, and to Tashi, the best driver I could have asked for—safe, attentive, and full of good energy throughout the journey. With all my heart, thank you. – Cristian

I thought I should provide some feedback on our excellent journey through Bhutan arranged by Omsha Travel Thimphu - Hotel was in good location and the rooms were spacious and clean. The initial buffet food (focused on European travellers) was poor. Once we had a word with Bijoy (local guide), he arranged for the hotel to cook fresh Bhutanese/Indian food which was excellent. Perhaps this could be offered to guest on day1? Bumthang The trip to Bumthang was too long and I would suggest you recommend to your guests that they stay in either Gantley or Punakha on the way and then the other on the way back to Paro. Lovely little guesthouse in Bumthang with a super host who produced great local food and was very kind to my group. Whilst the rooms were basic, they were clean and were better than we expected in this remote location Gantley Great tented rooms with good food despite it being a buffet. We wished we had stayed 2 days as potential to do more walking. Staff V good. Punakha Dhumra Farm resort was excellent. Great location and staff and the food was the best we had in Bhutan - all freshly cooked. Its a pity we couldnt stay here for 2 nights! The Lobesa hotel was terrible and not recommended. we only stayed here as Dhumra farm was full on our second day in this location Paro Nice hotel with V good food and super rooms albeit a little away from city centre. Due to our schedule we didnt have a chance to use all facilities, however the sights around the city were great. Tigers nest is worth a visit and the hot bath afterwards is a must Tour Guide Bijoy was excellent and we would strongly recommend your continued use of him. His English was excellent, as was his historical knowledge. Always happy to provide guidance and was flexible with itinerary when required Driver Mr Kolman did an excellent job on some difficult road in a very big bus. Was one of the best drivers I have used on such trips around the world Positives The country The people The guide/driver Loved the hikes either up mountains to see religious sites or across the valleys Local and Indian food was great when available Bijoy being flexible when required Sites were great Very few tourists - please ensure your country doesn`t get spoilt. Negatives The drive between Thimphu and Bumthang was too long and perhaps you could have recommended a break as mentioned above. European buffet food when offered was of poor quality Was the bus too big? A smaller bus may have been useful and quicker for our group of 7? Overall The group had a fabulous time in Bhutan and will look to return in the future and perhaps visit some of the more remote locations in the East and South Many thanks for your help and guidance which was greatly appreciated by my group

Omsha Travel is the best thing that could have happened for our Bhutan Trip. The whole trip was organized so professionally from start to finish. The itinerary was organized in a manner that fulfilled all our aspirations and requirements of the trip. It had been kept very flexible and at the same time no important locations or activities were missed out. Accommodation booked at all locations was very nice. The Omsha Team which accompanied us throughout our trip i.e. Mr. Tshering Dendup our guide and Mr. Dhanraj our driver and fondly called Guru ji went out of way to look after us. We really enjoyed our trip courtesy Omsha Travels. And a special thanks to Mr. Nawang not only for a memorable trip but also for the wonderful memories of Bhutan which we carried back with us.

The tour was extremely well orginized and planned. I know now that central Bhutan and a road there is the most interesting part in the country to visit. The views there were unbeatable, the temples, dzongs were most impressive for me out of what I saw in general. I like the central part most of all. The company's director was a nice person, giving me great flexible conditions upon arrival. We could changed the schedule easily on our way due to my needs. The company provided me with a bike, so I could do some cycling on the spots. I have not a single complain regarding the tour and I am very glad to recommend this company.
