Rainbow Beach
Guests departing from Noosa will be picked up between 5:20–5:45 am before a scenic drive North to Rainbow Beach, where the group comes together. Guests starting in Rainbow Beach join at 7:30 am before a short drive to Inskip Point to board the ferry.
Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, dugongs, and seabirds as you cross on the barge (ferry) to the World Heritage-listed paradise of K’gari.
On arrival, buckle up as we cruise along the island’s famous 75 Mile Beach
Head inland to Pile Valley for a rainforest walk among the island’s giant satinay and brush box trees.
Lake McKenzie
Continue to the jewel of the island, Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie). Here you’ll have time to swim in the pure, crystal-clear waters and enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch. Your guide will share stories of K’gari’s ecology, native wildlife, and Butchulla culture — including how to safely respect the island’s wongari (dingoes).
In the late afternoon, we travel back to the coast and check in at our exclusive permanent camp. Unwind with a sunset platter on the beach, followed by a hearty Aussie BBQ dinner under the stars. After dinner, gather around the campfire, and if the night sky is clear, your guide will lead a short walk for a special K’gari Star Show.

Rise early to watch the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean before breakfast at camp. Today begins with a drive north along 75 Mile Beach to one of the island’s most popular swimming spots, Eli Creek, where you can float downstream through crystal-clear freshwater.
Next, step back in time at the SS Maheno Shipwreck, a rusted ocean liner beached in 1935, and hear the fascinating stories behind its history.
Lake Birrabeen
If the tides allow, the adventure may continue inland along the Southern Lakes Circuit to the tranquil Lake Birrabeen, a beautiful alternative to Lake McKenzie with fewer crowds, perfect for relaxing and swimming.
Central Station Rainforest
Depending on conditions, we may also visit Central Station and the serene Wanggoolba Creek, once a logging camp and now a lush rainforest haven with boardwalks beside clear waters.

After a picnic lunch, it’s time to farewell K’gari. Travel south along the beach to the ferry, crossing back to the mainland and returning to Rainbow Beach by late afternoon. Noosa passengers continue onwards, arriving back around 6–7:00 pm.

5.00The whole experience was phenomenal, Jenai really made the trip for us and was always going the extra mile. The hospitality was amazing and couldn’t have had a better time while we were exploring. Would definitely recommend.

5.00Wow what a tour! Jenai was the perfect guide, who really got involved with the group. From start to finish she made us feel so welcome and was full of knowledge about the island. We didn’t know what to expect but came away with the best 2 days we’ve had in Australia. Eli Creek and Lake McKenzie were amazing, and there was even an option of a scenic plane ride around the island which was a highlight (at a discounted price of 90 dollars). We can’t recommend this tour enough! Thanks again Jenai for being the best tour guide we could’ve asked for :) Cat, Bry and Chloe

5.00Booking late to go to K'gari there wasn't much choice left... Luckily we found this tour and it was brilliant. Our guide Jenai was knowledgeable and a lot of fun, taking us to the key spots where we had time to enjoy the island. A small group meant that by the middle of the first day we were all chatting and singing along to Africa by Toto on the minibus. Funnily enough we'd all booked last mintue and this hadn't been our first choice, but talking to people from other tours, our small group agreed that we'd landed on our feet: comfy beds with a fan in our 2-man tent, good food provided throughout for all diets and drinks around the campfire in the evening. Would recommend to anyone going that you go with this tour and if you can guarantee Jenai then you'll have an even better time.

4.00The infrastructure of the tour was good (buses/camp site), food was very good, our guide Jenai was really nice and helpful. The negative side is that the tour could easily go to more places in the island. We had a lot of time spent on the camp site (from around 3:30 pm on Day 1 to 9 am on Day 2) . Also the tour says we go to Lake Birrabeen and we didn’t go there.

5.00Highly recommended, I really enjoyed the tour precisely because we had time at the different places. We were well catered for and the camp we stayed in is awesome. Simple but very cozy. Bush walks are worth it, they are mega beautiful.

5.00Such an amazing tour!! Where do I start??? The small group was great. We got to know all the other tour members really well. The vehicle was in good condition, the A/C worked great. We went in with no real expectations on the food. The first night was a Steak dinner with sausages, salad, corn, potatoes. Breakfast was bacon and eggs, cereal, yogurt, coffee and tea. The island and all the stops we made were fantastic. Above all was our tour guide Jenai!!! She was awesome. I’ve travelled a lot all over the world and done quite a few tours and Jenai was second to none! Thank you so much for a fantastic tour! Worth every penny and more!

5.00I had a wonderful experience on the K’Gari 2-day glamping tour. The whole trip felt beautifully relaxed, with amazing food and very comfortable glamping accommodation. Our guide, Jenai, was incredibly easy-going and accommodating — her calm presence really set the tone and made the experience extra special. Highly recommend this tour if you want to enjoy K’Gari in a relaxed, well-cared-for way..
