After breakfast at 8:30 am our guides will greet you at the hotel where you are staying. After that the tour group will set off into the jungle forroughly a6to 7 hour trek. During the trip, if we are lucky, we may see Orangutans, Thomas leaf monkey, Gibbons, or long-tailed Macaque. During the day we will break for lunch and eat tropical fruits, following by a short walk to our campsite location. Thereyou can do activities like bathing in the river and behold the beauty of the natural landscape which will surround you. Our team will provide some complementary tea, coffee and snacks. At the end of the day our teamwill prepare a delicious dinner which can vary but may include rice, vegetables, chicken, chili sauce, tempeh and more.After dinner we can choose to play a fun interactive group game before going to bed for a well needed rest.

After breakfast provided by Team Bukit Lawang Planet we will be walking into the jungle. During the journey we will learn about the plants of theforests that can be used as herbal medicine. If we are lucky we may see some interesting animals such as; the Endangered Orangutan, White-hundred gibbon, snakes, monkeys, monitor lizards, and many other exotic wildlife unique tothe jungle.Thejungle trek is typically a 5-6 hour walk. During the day our team will prepare a lunch that includes locally sourced fresh fruit. After Lunch we will begin our trek to return to Bukit Lawang. Here we have two options; to return on foot, or,with a traditional tube raft which we canridedown the river for an additional fee. You may choose either to walk back to bukit lawang or travel back with tube rafting down the river. 5.00Great experience, saw orangutans and a lot of other wildlife! Yoga and Bam Bam were knowledgeable guides, very nice and with a good sense of humor. The food was great, the evening at the campsite was fun with games while rain was pouring outside. They have a catchy song too! The tubing back to Bukit Lawang was so much fun too; just got in the river and started raining. Perfect! One thing I wish someone mentioned in reviews, that it was a quite strenuous hike. I’m in decent (but not great) shape, and my muscles were cramping at the end of the first day like never before. The hot and humid climate makes you sweat profusely. But it was an excellent experience nonetheless! It’s absolutely worth it!

5.00Azri, Yoga and Wonder made the 2 day 1 night orangutan trip something we will remember for a lifetime, thank you so much for being so friendly and kind to us at all times of the day! Very yummy food cooked by the chef Wonder, there is no need to bring extra food as you will be completely stuffed. on our trip we ended up seeing 6 orangutans which is a once in a lifetime experience and we are so grateful to be able to experience this :))

5.00You should go with this company, if you want to awaited with smiles, laughter and positive energy any time of the day. If you want to experience good local food, if you want to be treated nicely and with respect. If you like to support local community. I give this company 10/10, for me everything was perfect. The only thing they need to do is stay as they are! And I have no doubt they will! Thank you for majestic experience, Klemen.

5.00We spent 2 days and 1 night in the jungle with my girlfriend and Sumatra Orangutan Treks and we loved every bit of the experience. Our guides Joco and Reza were very knowledgeable about the jungle and had a great eye and ear to spot wildlife in the jungle that we wouldn’t have noticed. We saw one Orang Utan mother and her baby on our fast day and other one the next day, walking soo close to us and it was an incredible experience 🙏🏼 We saw gibbons and other monkeys as well. The food provided on all days was delicious, especially the dinner was exceptional and diverse. The campsite was super cozy next to the river. In the end we went tubing back to the village and it was the cherry on the pie of the trip. Don’t think twice, you have to do this!!
Our Orangutan Jungle Experience

5.00We celebrated Valentine’s Day in the jungle, and it was the best decision ever. Visiting during the low season meant there were fewer people, but we were still lucky enough to see two orangutans. Our trekking guides, Reza and Joco, were incredibly patient with us the entire time. They helped us navigate some tricky trails and carefully searched for orangutans in the wild. The guides spoke excellent English, so there was no language barrier at all. We saw two female orangutans, one with a baby and another preparing a nest. Just when we were about to wrap up and head down the river for tubing, we spotted another one very close to us. It even walked right past us! The food and service were amazing. We were well-fed throughout the day with morning snacks, breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, dinner, and even tea at night. Honestly, nothing beats their hospitality. Hands down to this tour company, and a big shoutout to Reza and Joco for being wonderful guides, and to Dedycool for arranging everything so smoothly. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

5.00Great jungle nevertheless had with accommodation! Jungle trip led by hamet and Azri was fantastic! Good guides with knowledge of the flora and fauna. Accommodation is also advisable, slept very well in a quiet spot outside the village, about 10 minutes by tuk tuk. The tuk tuk can be booked through the staff, who are always friendly at your service. Extra reason to book here: everything is local and here too try their best (no money towards Europe) Thanks for everything! Greetings Wim and Ellen

5.00I felt warm and welcomed the moment I was picked up from my bus stop and brought to the hacienda on a motorbike! We had so much fun with Yoga and Azri on our 2 day trek. To top it all off we saw wild orangutans, gibbons and a monitor lizard.
