After breakfast at 8:30 am our guides will greet you at the hotel where you are staying. After that the tour group will set off into the jungle forroughly a6to 7 hour trek. During the trip, if we are lucky, we may see Orangutans, Thomas leaf monkey, Gibbons, or long-tailed Macaque. During the day we will break for lunch and eat tropical fruits, following by a short walk to our campsite location. Thereyou can do activities like bathing in the river and behold the beauty of the natural landscape which will surround you. Our team will provide some complementary tea, coffee and snacks. At the end of the day our teamwill prepare a delicious dinner which can vary but may include rice, vegetables, chicken, chili sauce, tempeh and more.After dinner we can choose to play a fun interactive group game before going to bed for a well needed rest.

After breakfast provided by Team Bukit Lawang Planet we will be walking into the jungle. During the journey we will learn about the plants of theforests that can be used as herbal medicine. If we are lucky we may see some interesting animals such as; the Endangered Orangutan, White-hundred gibbon, snakes, monkeys, monitor lizards, and many other exotic wildlife unique tothe jungle.Thejungle trek is typically a 5-6 hour walk. During the day our team will prepare a lunch that includes locally sourced fresh fruit. After Lunch we will begin our trek to return to Bukit Lawang. Here we have two options; to return on foot, or,with a traditional tube raft which we canridedown the river for an additional fee. You may choose either to walk back to bukit lawang or travel back with tube rafting down the river. Package includes: *English speaking guide(s). *first aid support. *permits. *activity equipment. *entrance fees. *lunch. *Traditional Tube Rafting

5.00Amazing experience, saw orangutan, Thomas leaf monkeys, macaques (long and pigtailed), the rhinoceros hornhlbill and monitor lizard. Could not complete the booking online but Dedycool was so fast and easy to contact via WhatsApp, always getting back to me straight away and helping to arrange transport to Bukit Lawang. Yoga, my tour guide, got in touch with me prior to the trek to introduce himself. On arrival to Bukit Lawang Yoga and Adriz, assistant tour guide, helped me to my hostel and briefed me for the trek. They also helped me get some essential supplies that evening. Yoga was very knowledgeable and gave loads of amazing information throughout. Both he and Adriz were so welcoming and friendly, always going the extra mile. I injured my ankle on day two and they were amazing support! The chefs were also lovely and the food was amazing. Fantastic experience!

5.00I booked directly through the organizer and also received a direct response. The booking was straightforward and the team was very friendly and helpful from the start. Sumatra Orangutan Treks made you feel immediately welcome. The tour was a wonderful experience. The guides were very nice, helpful and humorous and had an impressive knowledge of the different plants and animals. During the tour you were provided with fresh and delicious food and individual wishes were taken into account. In addition, the team put a lot of effort into seeing as many animals as possible. They were attentive and committed at all times, but nevertheless careful and respectful of the animals and nature. I can only recommend this company!

5.00Just wow. We had such a blast. The itinerary was really good, good walking and doing other stuff ratio (still hard tho, some steep hills and different terrain). Our two guides were so lovely and helpful during the whole trip.

5.00Great experience, saw orangutans and a lot of other wildlife! Yoga and Bam Bam were knowledgeable guides, very nice and with a good sense of humor. The food was great, the evening at the campsite was fun with games while rain was pouring outside. They have a catchy song too! The tubing back to Bukit Lawang was so much fun too; just got in the river and started raining. Perfect! One thing I wish someone mentioned in reviews, that it was a quite strenuous hike. I’m in decent (but not great) shape, and my muscles were cramping at the end of the first day like never before. The hot and humid climate makes you sweat profusely. But it was an excellent experience nonetheless! It’s absolutely worth it!

5.00Azri, Yoga and Wonder made the 2 day 1 night orangutan trip something we will remember for a lifetime, thank you so much for being so friendly and kind to us at all times of the day! Very yummy food cooked by the chef Wonder, there is no need to bring extra food as you will be completely stuffed. on our trip we ended up seeing 6 orangutans which is a once in a lifetime experience and we are so grateful to be able to experience this :))

If you want to experience good local food, if you want to be treated nicely and with respect. If you like to support local community. I give this company 10/10, for me everything was perfect. 5.00We spent 2 days and 1 night in the jungle with my girlfriend and Sumatra Orangutan Treks and we loved every bit of the experience. Our guides Joco and Reza were very knowledgeable about the jungle and had a great eye and ear to spot wildlife in the jungle that we wouldn’t have noticed. We saw one Orang Utan mother and her baby on our fast day and other one the next day, walking soo close to us and it was an incredible experience 🙏🏼 We saw gibbons and other monkeys as well. The food provided on all days was delicious, especially the dinner was exceptional and diverse. The campsite was super cozy next to the river. In the end we went tubing back to the village and it was the cherry on the pie of the trip. Don’t think twice, you have to do this!!
