5.00My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Dineh Bekeyah Tours. It was easy to book directly with the tour operator. The communications were clear as to what to expect, where to meet the tour, timing, etc. Our tour guide, Joseph "Joe" Nelson was fantastic. One of the best guides we've had in our many years of touring different places in the U.S. and abroad. Joe was knowledgeable, personable, a great communicator. He represented the tour company and the Navajo Nation well. We have a deeper appreciation and understanding of the culture and people who dwell in and care for this beautiful place.

5.00John was an excellent guide. He is personable and friendly and has a vast knowledge of Navajo culture. He even played some amazing music for us at one of our stops. The stories he told that corresponded with what we were seeing were wonderful. I loved his use of the Navajo language. This was a truly enlightening and enjoyable experience.

5.00It was a great experience. It was a tour from 9am, and there were two other groups besides us, one Japanese but fluent in English. The guide even showed me how to set up the camera function on my phone with humor. They also blew hue so that they could experience the sound of the sound, and it was a valuable experience not only at the place where they stopped but throughout the whole place.

5.00With Dineh Bekeyah's Joe as our guide the 2.5 hour morning tour was amazing in every sense of the word. He shared information, in a super clear dialect, the entire trip. Getting to see John Wayne and John Ford points, the mittens and the mesas, back areas, and a big amphitheater was terrific. Joe set our iPhone camera settings to 'warm' making the photos even better. There were many people, animals and faces in the buttes and theaters that Joe points out, with some imagination I began see them! Looking at the pictures afterwards saw even more chiefs. Along the way frame drum, and flute music was captivating. Joe told a story (one of many!) about the sumac berries, known as chiilchin in Navajo. After munching on a couple of berries the sour mash did linger. Wow! The next day we saw "The Searchers" directed by John Ford in 1956 staring John Wayne. Makes us want to come back and see more. It was like a memorable dream, a fortunate encounter, plus a fun event!! Ahéheeʼ ("ah-HEH-heh") for a generous tour!
