  I joined the 3 Days Omo Valley Tours with Glamour Omo Valley Tours, and it was truly one of the most unique and eye-opening travel experiences I’ve ever had in Ethiopia. The journey to the Omo Valley is long, but absolutely worth it. Over the three days, we visited several indigenous communities, each with its own distinct traditions, clothing, and way of life. What stood out most was how respectful and informative the guide was when introducing us to the local cultures—nothing felt rushed or superficial. Meeting tribes such as the Hamar Tribe and Mursi Tribe was unforgettable. The guide explained their customs, ceremonies, and daily life in a way that made the experience both educational and respectful. It felt like a genuine cultural exchange rather than just sightseeing. The landscapes throughout the trip were also incredible—vast plains, rivers, and remote villages that feel untouched by time. Accommodation and transportation were well arranged, making the journey comfortable despite the remote locations.

  We did a 3-day Omo Valley tour with Danakil Depression Tours and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the beginning, everything was well organized and communication with our tour manager Mickey was quick and reliable, which made planning very easy. Our guide Abey was excellent — very knowledgeable about the different tribes and cultures, and he always took the time to explain things clearly without rushing us. He was also very respectful when interacting with the local communities, which we really appreciated. A special highlight of the trip was our driver. He was not only very professional and made us feel safe on some challenging roads, but also incredibly charming and friendly. He brought a lot of positive energy to the group, and we found ourselves looking forward to the drives because of his great attitude. The whole experience felt authentic and well-paced, and we never felt like just “tourists.” Visiting the different villages and markets was eye-opening and unique. Big thanks to Mickey and the whole team for making this trip so smooth and memorable. We would definitely recommend Danakil Depression Tours to anyone planning to visit the Omo Valley!

  My 3-day trip to the Omo Valley with Glamour Omo Valley Tours was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, professional, and deeply enriching. The team was incredibly knowledgeable about the local tribes and culture, and they made sure we had authentic and respectful interactions with the communities. Visiting the Mursi, Hamer, and Dassanech tribes was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide explained the traditions, history, and daily life in such a clear and engaging way that it made every visit even more meaningful.   Honestly I was quite sceptical about Glamour as I had no reference but their service was really good. Thanking Mickey for arranging our travel and accommodation. Specifically wanted to tell about our driver throughout this package, Abey He's such a good human being and very caring like a young brother. Very trustworthy and understanding boy. We felt sad while saying goodbye. Thank you and lots of love to you abey. Will definitely meet sometime.

  I did a three day with Glamour Omo Valley tours which was one of the most remarkable travel experiences I’ve ever had. The scenery is unlike anything you’ll have seen before and walking through turmi villages, seeing the pace of life, agricultural practises and wildlife is truly, totally memorable. Our guides, porters and hosts all showed incredible hospitality, and the guest houses – well – see them for yourself. As tired as I was by the end, I wish I had another couple of days. Glamour also organised an additional excursion to the Abune Aharon monastery which is not to be missed for the more intrepid. On the final day I stayed in Lalibela which was virtually empty of tourists – you’ll be sharing this truly singular religious site with worshippers only. Everyone I interacted with at Glamour– Mark, Betty and Teshale – were all really friendly and helpful, and helped make the trip a success. Highly, highly recommended

  I had an incredible experience during my trip to omo valley and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing driver, Mr. Jon From the moment we met him, his professionalism and warm hospitality were evident. He ensured we had a smooth and safe journey, navigating through omo valley beautiful yet sometimes challenging roads with ease. Mr.Dani knowledge of the region added so much value to the trip, offering insights into local culture and history, making our visit even more memorable. I highly recommend his services to anyone planning a trip to omo valley. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

  We have always had an excellent experience in dealing with Danakil Depresion Travels- right from the planning stage to our return from the trip. They devise excellent itinerary , give you options to choose hotels as per your budget/ preference and ensure that smallest details are taken care of. We enjoyed an excellent trip to Ethiopia in 2025 with them; they organised a wonderful stay at good lodge for our family and we have become Danakil Depression Travels loyalists since then. Our latest trip in sepmber omo valley , organised by them was amazingly beautiful. We look forward to our continued association and many more such wonderful trips with them.   We had the most wonderful personalized tour of northern Ethiopia, put together by Glamour Omo Valley Tours Tours! We chose this agency partly because of reviews, partly because Mickey was so great to work with. He answered e-mails promptly and was quite flexible in rearranging the tour to accommodate our schedule and our wishes. Ethiopia is a spectacular country, with tremendous natural beauty and an incredibly rich history and tradition. The people were welcoming and endlessly fascinating. We had great drivers, which we were very grateful for because it’s a country where driving is a challenge! But by far the best thing about our trip was our guide, Thomas He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and obviously loves sharing his beautiful country with strangers. Best of all, he was fun to be with, which is important because he was with us the entire trip, taking such very good care of us. We felt safe with him and found him to be absolutely trustworthy.   Awesome, That’s what we we have to say about 5 day journey with We stayed 2 days in Addis Abeba and then we headed down South with him. He is an excellent driver and btw. he knows a lot about the different traditions of the ethnic groups, wildlife (spec. Birds !! ) , He also knows the best places for authentic food . It was always amusing with him. Glamour Tours always followed our wishes and proposals about accommodations and other changes without extra costs. Everything was well planned and organized. John is an excellent companion and friend, who likes to show you then beauty of the landscape and the people of his country. Thank you so much John and mickey.
