This trip will be your East Java’s volcanoes experience via Malang city – Tumpaksewu Waterfall, Mount Bromo and Ijen crater for 3 day 2 night. Guests will visit the biggest and most grand waterfall in east java region and cover a lot of volcanoes and adventure trail on each spots. This is best-selling trip for guests who wants to see East Java in un-ordinary travel route.

Malang or Surabaya - Tumpaksewu Waterfall - Cemorolawang Village

Overnight at accomodation in Cemorolawang village (1room 2 persons with private bathroom)

Guest(s) will be picked up in their hotel in Malang city by 7.00 a.m and head to Tumpaksewu waterfall for about 2 hours. Meet up with local trekking ranger and explore Tumpaksewu waterfall via bamboo stairs down the river stream. By noon back to parking area and continue journey toward Cemorolawang village via reverse route Malang for total 5 hours. Check in accomodation and total rest.

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park

Guests will be picked up by private 4WD Jeep by 3.00 a.m and head to Penanjakan sunrise point and enjoy sunrise time. After sunrise, back to jeep and driver will drive down to Bromo crater area and guest can do trekking up to Mount Bromo. Back to hotel for late breakfast and prepare check out. Journey further to Bondowoso city for about 5-6hours. Check in accomodation and total rest. Midnight do check-out before departing to Ijen Crater.

Ijen Crater "Blue Fire" Trekking - Ketapang Harbor

Ijen Crater Indonesia

Depart from hotel by 00.00 a.m and journey to Ijen crater for about 1.5hours. Meet up with local trekking ranger and trek up to Ijen summit for about 4kilometers (2hours). If weather allowed, guests can descend to blue fire source with accompany of local trekking ranger (all risks is on guests own responsibility). Before sunrise, back to summit and enjoy sunrise moment from Ijen summit. Back to parking area and enjoy breakfast box. Driver will deliver guests to Ketapang harbor and buy guests ferry ticket. If guests request to be dropped in hotel in Banyuwangi, then ferry ticket is non-refundable because it is complimentary from our policy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day tour with Mador Hostel. The waterfall was an amazing experience with incredible views but the stars of the show were Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen, breathtaking seeing two active volcanoes in all its glory, massive bonus being able to see the blue fire at Ijen too. Mador planned and executed the tour so well and even included a drop off in Bali post tour in the price which was a brilliant help, massively recommend:)

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish- a must do tour and Mador are the perfect hosts and planners, I can’t fault them! This trip was definitely a big highlight of my Indonesia trip. I was desperate to see the blue fire and because of Madors connections we got to see it just in time before the miners put it out. I recommend everyone to do this amazing tour with Mador!

Had the most amazing time on this tour! Our driver Rama was so so friendly and always full of good chat:) I was solo travelling and had the loveliest group, some of who I then went on to travel bits of Bali with. Would highly recommend, definitly don’t skip out! All the staff at the hostel in Malang were lovely too. Intense trip but 10000% worth it, a travel highlight for sure!

Organization of the tour to the top with everything taken into account in the price. The hotels and food are very good. The tour is designed to be able to rest despite the important pace. Our driver Jimon was very attentive and understanding to adapt to us, as well as being super friendly. Many thanks to him and the team!

We booked directly through Mador hostel, it was as easy as messaging them on wattsapp and we were booked on! You don’t pay until you arrive and can pay card which we found super helpful. We payed around £93 per person and an extra £4 to stay the night before in the same hostel. For around £30 a day with everything included we would say this is very reasonable and you don’t really need to spend anything else (other than small change for toilets and snacks if you want them). You get a full itinerary for each day and a briefing before every activity. All the members of staff were amazing, including the tour guides and driver. It’s definitely a tiring trip with strange sleep and a lot of driving but as long as you know what you’re in for it’s totally worth it. It’s one of the best things we’ve done in our 4 months around south east Asia!! We were in a group of 11 and found it very social despite it not being a party late evening trip. I would 100000% reccomend this trip to anyone who loves hiking/trekking and beautiful views. Be aware of rainy season - we unfortunately didn’t get a good sunrise at bromo but the trip was still worth it and we had two good weather days for ijen and the waterfall!

The waterfalls were beautiful, of the Bromo we unfortunately saw little because it was cloudy and rainy.. the guide did his utmost to go to all places in the hope that we could see something there but unfortunately.. the Ijen was beautiful. The nevertheless was reasonable style but the view was breathtaking! Gore service! Then also neatly dropped off in Bali
