  Tourists beware! Don’t use Mody Egypt Tours. I got all the way to Aswan from the UK with a 4-day luxury nile cruise booked with Mody Egypt Tours. When i got there, they wouldn’t respond to any of my messages about pickup time and location. They were supposed to contact me a day before the cruise to arrange pickup but they simply didn’t. After hours of trying, Get Your Guide managed to get them to contact me, after heaps of struggling to do so. Instead of hotel pickup, as is on the booking, they made me walk 20 minutes to a random kfc in the middle of nowhere to be picked up. As a woman, I didn’t feel safe walking around an area like this. They also changed the pickup time to two hours later than what was promised. When the Mody vans (two of them) turned up, I showed my booking to the drivers who simply told me ‘no’. They refused to help me further. A lovely French couple tried to get them to help me but they still ignored me and went on their way. I was left stranded in Aswan, devastated to have spent so much money, only to be scammed, and not knowing what to do next. Thankfully, because I booked through Get Your Guide, a refund can be given. But that’s not really the point. Get Your Guide sent me the number of my guide. I texted him politely and asked if he was going to pick me up and he bluntly told me ‘no. Wrong number’ even though his profile says he’s a guide and his name matches what was on my booking. I sent him the screenshot of Get Your Guide sending me his phone number and he still said ‘no. Not me’. I’m not sure why this has happened. I was very calm and polite with each of my attempts to contact this company. If it wasn’t for a lovely local, who had also just been stood up by a man who booked a boat tour with him, my trip would’ve been completely ruined. This local got his friend to drive me to Abu simbel, Kom ombo, edfu, and Luxor. And I’m so glad I didn’t get on that cruise. It worked out for the best in the end but it’s just such a shame that these companies can do these things without a conscience. Please be aware. Check every review website you can before booking your cruise - especially the negative reviews. And avoid Mody at all cost! They don’t care about you. They just want to take your money.

  What an experience this was! Myself and my partner didn’t know what to expect with this cruise but we were mightily impressed. This tour covered everything from temples and tombs to spice shops. Mohamed gobran our guide, was brilliant in both managing our tour group and explaining everything! Highly recommend this tour and Mohamed himself

  The cruise from Aswan to Luxor was incredible. Our guide, Mohamed Gobran, made the entire experience exceptional — very knowledgeable, attentive, and always willing to help. His explanations brought history to life and made every stop even more special. I highly recommend this experience and especially Mohamed as a guide.

  We were especially looking forward to the hot air balloon ride, and it was the main reason we booked this tour. However, the day before the activity, we received a message saying that, according to information from the Egyptian government, all balloon flights for the next day were canceled due to safety concerns and would resume the following day. As a result, our flight was canceled. But in reality, other groups were able to take their balloon flights as originally scheduled, while only our group was moved to the next day. Since we had a flight to catch, we were unable to join the rescheduled ride, which was extremely disappointing. If the cancellation had truly been for safety reasons, we would have accepted it, but learning that other participants flew normally left us shocked and feeling misled. It was also our honeymoon, and I really wanted to give my wife the experience of riding the hot air balloon, so this was especially heartbreaking for both of us. We came from a very distant country, spending a great deal of money and time to be here, so this kind of handling was truly disappointing. In addition, although we were told that guests who could not take the balloon would receive a refund, we have not received any information or follow-up regarding the refund yet. On the other hand, all the staff members on the cruise we stayed on were absolutely wonderful. They were kind, helpful, and welcoming, and we have no complaints about them at all. We are genuinely grateful for their warm hospitality. Regarding the tour schedule, there was a lot of time allocated for shopping, while the time to explore the temples was quite tight, which made parts of the tour feel rushed. However, this also gave us a good reason to visit Luxor again in the future. For those who are booking this tour mainly for the hot air balloon experience, I recommend keeping your schedule flexible and arranging flights with plenty of extra time.

  We had 4day cruise in Nile which was fantastic. The cruise ship, the crew and the programme were amazing but the most amazing of all was our tour guide Mohamed Gobran. Our habibi, our friend. He gave us the most detailed tour guide on all excursions, always caring, funny and helpful. Indeed he was our habibi, very helpful on everything we asked for. If we visit again we would love to have him MR MOHAMED GOBRAN as our guide again. Thank you habibi Mohamed for everything

  This was the best way to experience Egypt! Mahmoud was a great tour guide and made the whole experience fun and exciting. He was helpful and attentive, and gave us the chance to experience hidden gems that we would not have otherwise known about. Entrance and admission to sites were smooth and well organised in advance, and was reasonably priced for everything that the tour has to offer. All staff members were amazing and made this trip memorable. Being in a smaller group was definitely more ideal. Be prepared for some early mornings and late nights but it is definitely worth every cent and moment. Four days is the right amount of time. It was an overall great atmosphere with a good balance between relaxing and experiencing Egypt in all its glory.

  Amazing 4 days viewing temples and tumbs along the Nile. Boat is 4 stars not 5, clean and the food is VERY good and fresh. The crew is very helpful and always smilling. Our guide Mohamed Gobram was more than perfect. He is very knowledgeable and SUPER efficient. We had the most wonderful tour because of him. Thanks Mo!
