Explore the island’s unique environments with easy walks through temperate rainforests, encountering native wildlife along the way and indulging in the finest local produce, including award-winning oysters, fudge, honey, and seafood.
With its diverse offerings, Bruny Island is the perfect destination for nature enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

Day 2: Port Arthur & the Tasman Peninsula
Experience the best of Tasmania’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, Port Arthur, and the stunning Tasman Peninsula with our comprehensive tour.
Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Port Arthur Historic Site, which includes a captivating harbour cruise. Spend the Morning indulging in delicious local produce with visits to the Chocolate Factory (own cost) and Lavender Farm (own cost). If history is what you came for, enjoy the full 4 hours exploring the historic site. If you are up for one more experience, then you can hop back onboard the bus after 3 hours for a trip to the Remarkable Cave. Just a short 8-minute drive away, you will be greeted with the spectacular vista of Maingon Bay.
Sit back, relax, and let us take you back in time on this fully guided journey to experience some of Tasmania’s most significant convict history.

What you need to know
This tour bundle is made up of daily tours that operate independently. The order of the tours may vary depending on availability and your start date. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from selected locations, but pickup times and exact locations may vary based on where you’re staying. Accommodation is not included in this bundle, giving you the freedom to pick the hotel that best suits your travel style. We offer pickups from most hotels in and around Hobart. If your accommodation isn’t listed, and you're staying within the city, your designated pickup point will typically be within a 100–300 metre walk.

He went out of his way to ensure everyone in the group was comfortable and well taken care of. Ben’s knowledge of the island’s history, wildlife, and local spots added depth to the experience, and his genuine enthusiasm for sharing it was infectious. He was attentive to every detail, from answering our questions to making sure we had the best opportunities for photos and exploration. A truly memorable experience thanks to Ben’s outstanding guidance! Jodie was also an outstanding tour guide during our visit to Port Arthur, Tasmania. Her deep knowledge of the site's history, combined with her engaging storytelling, brought the stories of the past to life. Jodie’s ability to balance historical facts with light humor made the tour both educational and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

5.00The 2 day highlights tour was phenomenal. A must if you don’t have a car. The tour guide, Bunzy was fantastic - he really made the trip memorable and awesome. He was knowledgeable, funny and personable and made extra stops into towns and took the scenic route to make it extra special. The tour was detailed in explaining the history and locations. Bruny island is beautiful and Port Arthur was idyllic. The tour was a great way to see it. No complaints. Highly recommend for solo or group.

5.00Amazing day out with Tassie Tours Tasmania! We had done Port Arthur the day before with Andrew and did Bruny on the back of that because Andrew was fantastic!! Most incredibly delicious seafood chowder we have ever had from Hotel Bruny. Best oysters ever with wasabi cream from Get Shucked! Amazing cheese from Cheese and Beer Co. Picked up some Black Pudding beer as well!! I could survive on Bruny with just these 2 places! And of course the scenery was breathtaking as you would expect. Thanks again Andrew you are awesome!! 5.00A two day tour of Bruny Island and the Tasman Peninsula which included Port Arthur and Remarkable Cave. Two days filled with stunning scenery, culinary delights, a nice mix of walking and coach touring. Also lots of information delivered with a warm sense of humour. Thank you Andrew for a terrific two days experiencing and exploring a portion of Tassie paradise.
Our tour guide, Jodi is friendly and thoughtful. She has alerted in advance to us on the erractic weather.

5.00The weather is unpredictable and flop flopable; one minute it is raining and the next minute it is sunny. Port Arthur is so scenic though how it comes into being is so saddening.

5.00Both trips were excellent, the scenery was amazing and both tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Only comment for the Bruny Island trip was lunch would have been better at the cheese and wine stop.
