Experience Taipei the way the locals do, by bike. We start the day with a traditional Taiwanese breakfast, and then pedal around historic streets, traditional markets, grand architecture, immaculate temples, and more! Listen to fun facts from your guide about the culture and history of the city as you go. This tour is a great way to orient yourself on your first day in the city or see the sights if you only have a short time to visit.
We meet up at the Taipei Bike Works bike shop to start the tour. Please copy and paste the address below to find the shop.
The tour guide reserves the right to cancel or postpone the tour in case of extreme weather condition warnings and if there are less than 3 people total joining the tour.

5.00This was a really really enjoyable morning, I'm glad I booked it. It was better than I expected, and I expected it to be good after seeing other reviews. The format of the tour being on bikes works perfectly. We were able to travel quickly between each point on the tour, and quickly park up when we arrived at each one. There was none of the fuss of getting on and off a bus. We covered a little over 10km over the morning and it was never hard work. We were on wide sidewalks for the most part and Taipei's pedestrians are used to being near cyclists. The bikes themselves were comfortable city bikes with easy 3-speed gears, and were well maintained by the bike shop. Helmets (optional) were provided. Our guide Mike was very knowledgable about the places we visited as well as how each one fits into Taiwan's unique history. Especially on mid 20th century history he gave an account which I felt was well informed and unbiased. It really sparked my interest and lead to some evenings spent reading and learning more.

5.00I joined the morning cycling tour and found that I was 1 of 7 participants. Our guide Mike, American, gave us a lot of information about the history of Taiwan. He uses Giant bicycles and each one of us had a basket on the front for water bottles and bags. We had good weather and it was a pleasure to stand in the sun, enjoy the stories which Mike was telling us while learning a lot. We parked our bikes several times and walked around for breakfast, for the changing of the guard at Liberty Square and at a well known temple. It was a great way to discover one part of Taipei.

5.00I had the day to myself to explore Taipei, so signed for the bicycle tour of the city. Priscilla is a native Taiwanese and very knowledgeable . Biking through the streets competing with scooters and pedestrians etc, wasn’t bad. People generally made room for us and sometimes cars waited before making a turn. It was food filled and fun!
This was the highlight of my trip to taiwan.

5.00Tony was such a great guy, giving us the best opportunity to learn more about Taiwan, seeing the history, life and city. The breakfast was great; the interesting flavor tea was cool. When I was going back, I asked what everyone thought the highlight of the trip was, and we all said the bike ride. No matter anything, you must do the bike ride it was the best to learn all about Taiwan. Just an amazing person. And Tony if you see this, the school project is going great!

5.00Tony is amazing! A world class culture tour on bikes that kicked off with a delicious authentic Taipei breakfast. Our group of 6 ride through back alleys and to Presidential palaces. Outstanding tour with a perfect guide.

5.00I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Priscilla, was very considerate, knowledgeable, and entertaining, and spoke excellent English. She took us to the most important historic buildings and treated us with tasty local food and herb tea. The change of guards ceremony at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall was fascinating to watch. This bicycle tour was the best way to explore Taipei because it covered far more areas than a walking tour. Four hour cycling was a little exhausting, but good exercise. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who can ride a bicycle. Thank you so much, Priscilla!
