Michael is a great tour guide. He has been living in Taiwan for 15 years. It was such a wonderful experience biking from site to site and having him tell the history, culture, religion food of Taiwan and Taipei. The breakfast was delicious at a famous small restaurant on the route and he explained about all the food we ate and how it was related to the culture of the various peoples who have inhabited Taiwan. He narrated the history about the Quing and earlier Ming dynasties and the later Japanese colonization and the period under Chang Kai Shek and answered all my questions. The visit to the Taoist temple and the ride along the river was most fun. Plus traveling by bike you witness all the sounds, sights, smells of the city. You come in contact with the people. It was a fun enjoyable and tasty experience.

Some parts of the bike path was very narrow and you also have to ride on the road sharing with the traffic.
