  As a long-term Platinum travel agent who has traveled extensively around the world, my standards are high—especially when time is limited. My husband and I had just one overnight in London back in October and wanted to truly maximize the experience. Booking with Elite Black Taxi Tours turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. From the moment we were picked up, we knew this was something special. The black taxi itself was incredible—immaculate, extra spacious, and felt more like a mini limo than a cab. It would easily accommodate luggage if needed, which is a huge plus for travelers in transit. Our guide, Gary, was beyond exceptional. It takes a highly educated and well-informed individual to be approved for tours like this, and Gary exceeded every expectation. His dry humor, deep historical knowledge, kindness, and professionalism made the experience unforgettable. He navigated the city seamlessly while bringing us to all the major highlights—St. Paul’s Cathedral, Parliament, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, America Square, and even the cobbler and hat shops used by the royals—without missing a beat. What truly set Gary apart were the stories and “tidbits” he shared along the way—some folklore, some rumor, all utterly charming and engaging. He genuinely seemed to know everyone in town. More than once, we pulled up to a famous London hotel and the doorman greeted Gary by name. That alone speaks volumes. Another major advantage: these taxis can drive in the bus lanes, allowing you to bypass traffic and see far more than you otherwise could—an absolute game-changer when time is limited. Gary was a hoot. I thought my husband was a history buff—until we met Gary. He was flexible, a great listener, and had an impressive collection of personal and professional photos related to historic and current events right at his fingertips. He even shared personal stories about his family, which made the experience feel incredibly authentic and meaningful. To top it all off, Gary dropped us directly at the airport for our departure flight, making the entire experience completely seamless and stress-free from start to finish. It took me far too long to finally write this review, but I recommend Elite Black Taxi Tours, and especially Gary, without hesitation. I’ve since booked multiple clients with him, all of whom were blown away. I just booked a solo female traveler with Gary for four straight days, and I’m beyond excited to hear her feedback.   We booked Elite Black Taxi Tours for a day out in London as a couple, and it was honestly one of the best experiences we've had in the city. From the moment we were picked up, we felt completely looked after. Our driver was warm, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable – the kind of guide who instantly makes you feel like you’re exploring the city with a friend rather than on a tour. We visited all the famous sights – Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower of London, and Tower Bridge – but it was the little hidden backstreets, quirky stories, bits of history that made our tour so special. The taxi itself was clean and so comfortable, and the glass roof gave us amazing views of the buildings and skyline as we drove through the city. We never felt rushed – we could stop for photos whenever we wanted, and our driver even offered to take some pictures of us together (rare when you travel as a couple!). To finish the day, our driver recommended a traditional spot for proper fish and chips, which was absolutely perfect. If you’re visiting London this tour is worth every penny.
