Discover the Natural Wonders of Lake Myvan, Nature Baths, Goddafoss waterfall AND the spectacular Dettifoss waterfall all in one day on this popular and great value tour with an experienced local guide. We set off from Akureryi stopping at the beautiful Godafoss waterfall also known as 'The Waterfall of the Gods' and then onto the famous Lake Myvatn. In Lake Myvatn we visit popular destinations including the Myvatn Nature baths, a geothermal lagoon with mineral rich water in the middle of lava fields, Skútustaðagígar, the psuedocrater area, with stunning views of the Lake Myvatn area, the Dimmuborgir Lava formations also known as 'The Dark Castle', Game of thrones filming locations, the Mount Námafjall area where you can view the bubbling Hverir Mud pools and Natural steam vents/fumaroles and also the Grjotagja rift and cave. We also visit Dettifoss waterfall, Europes most powerful waterfall (conditions dependant). *Please note the entrance fee to the Nature Baths is not included*

4.00I booked this tour so we could see all of the things we wanted without too many other travellers and not feeling too rushed of we had done the actual diamond circle. I was contacted by operator last minute to say dettifoss and selfoss was cancelled and we could either have part refund and do other things on the tour or full refund. I chose for us to do the tour. We had such a great time Goddfoss was stunning but cold out there. Our guide Siggy was welcoming, really friendly and knowledgeable. There were 8 in total on the tour so wasn't overwhelming or waiting for lots of people to get back. Of course I'm a little disappointed we didn't see the other 2 waterfalls but we still have an amazing day

5.00A beautiful way to see some of the key highlights of this area of Iceland. After seeing the huge busses at these attractions was so grateful for the luxury of a small luxury bus. It was great having a driver and farm owner from this part of Iceland. Always great to learn the history from a local resident. He took us to his beautiful farm and shared some interesting facts regarding the many Common Eider Ducks that breed in this area and how they harvest the down. Now I know why this luxury down is so expensive, it is a lot of work. Scenery along the drive is breathtaking! The company, Imagine Travel was easy to work with setting up the tour and always gave quick responses to questions.

3.00The tour we originally booked inlcuded Dettifoss. The morning of the tour, we were sent notfication that we were beig rebooked on a lesser tour that did not include Dettifoss since our "driver called out sick". Of course, things do happen, but it makes you wonder if they just didn't want to do the run because there weren't enough signups or another reason. We missed one of the waterfalls that we most wanted to see. I would recommend that you book with a different tour operator (there are many) other than Imagine Iceland if you really want to see Dettifoss.
