5.00My Mother Arranged a surprise trip for me. I visited Lake Saiful Muluk along with my Friends.We travelled from Lahore to Islamabad by air and from Islamabad to Lake Saiful Muluk by road. It is located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley near Naran. It is in the north east of Mansehra District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, at an altitude of 3224 meter above sea level it is amongst one of the highest lake in Pakistan. Nice and cheap hotels, a long but nice drive from Islamabad, and some good trout fish to eat. I shopped a suitcase of expensive nuts and dry-fruits. Local products include Woolen shawls and gems.A fairy tale called Saiful Muluk, written by the famous Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, is associated with the lake. It is the story of the prince of Persia who fell in love with a fairy princess at the lake. The impact of the lake's beauty is of such an extent that people believe that fairies come down to the lake in full moon. I think that travelers will definitely enjoy visiting Lake Saiful Muluk.
