This was an OK historical tour. We like to take tours like this to get a lay of the land and to go back and visit places of interest. Unfortunately we were disappointed. It was hard to get a feel for where we were at any given time as although points of interest were pointed out, we had no sense of where we were in the city. I think what would help would be a map of the route that was being taken by the driver as we could follow along and make notes. The driver was very knowledgeable, however she got caught up in her own jokes at times and would laugh REALLY loud. In a small bus, this was WAY too much. Unfortunately, if I took another tour with this person, I would forgo the tour and just walk around the city. The other challenge with the tour was the temperature of the bus. The driver checked in with the group, however if the air was off (it was like 62 out- so not hot at all) the bus was really stuffy - and there were only 7 of us on the bus. Yet, with the air on, it was like an ice cube in the van. This was not the fault of the driver, but the bus itself.

Extremely knowledgeable- answered all questions in detail. The bus was clean with comfortable seats. Had trouble in finding bus as road was closed

While we enjoyed our trip/tour guide, the presentation was a little unsophisticated which might not have been acceptable to some visitors.

Guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. He was clearly concerned with our safety and comfort. He had some interesting comments and information about the local area and its history.

Our guide was very informative and friendly; obviously well versed in Charleston history. The bus ride itself included too many churches and colleges (even though old) and not enough old town Charleston homes. The Citadel was nice to see. Description of the architectural styles (singles and doubles) was great and fun to pick out as we traveled along. This was not the same bus tour I had 15 years ago however rules, restrictions, and time undoubtably changes things. I would still recommend this tour.
