Explore same day from Aurangabad, both Ajanta & Ellora caves, astonishingly carved into hillside rock in the middle of nowhere are these caves. Both There are 34 caves at Ellora dating from between the 6th and 11th centuries AD, and 29 caves at Ajanta dating back to between the 2nd century BC and 6th century AD. The caves at Ajanta are all Buddhist, while the caves at Ellora are a mixture of Buddhist, Hindu and Jain.

Ajanta Caves
Early Morning at 0600hrs OR 0700 Hrs, We pickup from your hotel in Aurangabad. Our chauffeur will meet you at your hotel and start your journey to visit Ajanta caves which take 2 hours. Reach Ajanta caves parking area and you will have to travel by shuttle bus from parking area to Ajanta caves entrance point, where you can buy entrance tickets. Discover Ajanta caves for couple of hours, then come back to the parking area by same shuttle bus, then we move towards Ellora caves and the journey takes another couple of hour.
Ellora Caves
After reaching Ellora caves , explore Ellora caves for 2-3 hours. The incredible Kailasa Temple (also known as the Kailash Temple), which forms Cave 16 at Ellora, is undoubtedly the most famous attraction. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his sacred abode at Mount Kailash. Its immense size covers twice the area of the Pantheon in Athens, and is one and a half times as high! The life-size elephant sculptures are a highlight.The most incomprehensible thing about the Ajanta and Ellora caves is that they were crafted by hand, with only a hammer and chisel. There are various cave complexes in India, but these are definitely the most spectacular. Now head to Aurangabad, you will reach by 6 Pm you will be in the city, then our driver will drop you at the Airport or Railway station or if you are going to stay in Aurangabad for the night then our driver will drop you at Hotel.

5.00We were pleasantly surprised by our guide’s knowledge. He was previously an archeologist/anthropologist and knew so much about the history, architecture and spiritual significance of the structures and the art- both carved and painted. We felt privileged to walk with and learn from such a scholar. He also protected us from the onslaught of vendors, keeping the tour professional and safe. I would book with this company any day to have such a fulfilling experience. You should too!

5.00I would recommend everyone to see Ajanta and Ellora caves; they are magnificent. If you are short on time, this is a particularly excellent tour. They were very flexible to meet my schedule, which didn’t actually have me staying in Sambhaji Nagar/Aurangabad at all. More importantly the guide (Hassan) was brilliant - he was knowledgeable, friendly , told interesting stories and had perfect English. With him I could hear the Jataka stories while he was highlighting particular statues or segments of the paintings. I also got a good sense of the work involved in building structures like Kailasa temple. This added so much more to the experience. The schedule allowed time for an excellent veg thali lunch stop just past the Ajanta caves turn off.

5.00The driver Karim was excellent. Despite extremely heavy trafgic due to Diwali holiday, he took me to Ajanta and Ellora in one day and I was able to see spectacular caves. He took me to a delicious restaurant that produced its own vegetables.

Ajanta is famous for its beautiful Buddhist paintings, while Ellora has a mix of Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain temples, with the Kailasa temple being the star. The tours are well-organized, and the guides explain the history really well. Be ready to walk a lot, and don’t forget your camera—there’s so much to see!

5.00These are stunning caves- well worth the trip- carved into the side of a mountain/hill there are many rooms temples- sleepig quarters. I have twice had a guide t salk about them and they have been well worth the cst and then took more time to wander through and linger.

5.00Science can't explain how this was done in the BC ie the technology at that time to carve solid volcanic rock is just not possible Andbi had an incredible tour guide and owns his own car and speaks excellent English and goes out of his way to help you get your tickets His name is M.
