This 12 to 14-hour guided tour offers an immersive small-group experience in the comfort of a climate-controlled van. Along the way, enjoy storytelling, scenic stops, & a deeper connection to the untamed beauty of Alaska.

Adult pricing applies to all travelers. We do not recommend this tour for children under the age of 10 years due to safety concerns
Please dress appropriately. The temperatures can reach extreme conditions during the winter month and we recommend to dress in layers.
Please note that the Northern Lights are a natural occurrence and therefore cannot be guaranteed! (no refund possible)
The weather conditions are in no way predictable in our area and we will not offer a refund in case of too many clouds.
Exact schedule and itinerary of stops are subject to change based on daily conditions and Northern Lights activity on the day of your tour.
There is a possibility of cancellation due to dangerous weather and/or road conditions. If this occurs, an alternative date or full refund will be offered.
Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. We are not able to provide gluten free or vegan options as there is limited availability of these items in Alaska.
Type of transportation: climate controlled van
The group size is limited to 8 people for each passenger van.
Customers are strongly encouraged to rotate seats at least a few times on the tour to give each person the opportunity of having a different view.
This tour requires being able to enter and exit our van with limited assistance. Please contact us if you have any concerns about mobility.

5.00We had a such a great time on this 14-hour Arctic Circle tour! Jessica was our guide and she was phenomenal!! I felt very safe with her behind the wheel while traveling on the Dalton Highway, she handled it like a champ! If you easily get car sick, this may not be the tour for you as it can get very bumpy at times! But in my opinion it is definitely worth it for everything you get to see and do! Crossing the Arctic Circle, visiting the enchanted forest, and seeing the Aurora were experiences I will never forget! I would 100% recommend this tour. Thank you Jessica for taking us on this journey!

5.00Just finished this amazing tour this morning. I came to Alaska for just 2 nights in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights and visiting the Arctic Circle. The guide for my 14 hour adventure was Jessica. She arrived to pick me up at my hotel on time at my designated pick up time which was a great first impression. Jessica was full of knowledge and will give you so many fun facts that you can bring home with you to share with family and friends as you show off your pictures. The group I was in was 7 people. There were 2 couples and 3 of us who were solo travelers. I feel safe saying we all had an amazing experience crossing the Arctic Circle and catching the Aurora too! The rear windows in the van do fog up, but Jessica encourages everyone rotates seats so everyone has a chance to sit upfront. For the experiences your will have and the memories you will make in this trip this price is incredible! I’m already planning a return trip to repeat this trip and check out some other tours that Alaska Wildlife Guide offer.

5.00Shannon did a great job of leading our 14h excursion. Lots of useful information and pointing out what to look for. We were fortunate enough to see a wolf and fox on our journey (from the safety of our van ). We were nine people in a van over pretty bumpy roads. We reached the Arctic Circle after several scenic stops, including the Alaska pipeline, on the way. We were provided snacks and water. We had a spectacular northern lights viewing on the way back. Great photos, exceeded our expectations!

5.00Best tour and tour guide ever, Shannon is a super sweet and super patient and nice girl, she gave us detailed introduction about the plants, animals, geography characteristics and searching for a perfect spot for viewing auroras with great patience, we gave her a 5full stars!

5.00My wife and I embarked on our first Arctic Circle tour to see the northern lights this past Saturday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The 14-hour journey started in Fairbanks and took us all the way to the Arctic Circle. We were thrilled to have Shannon as our guide—she was energetic, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and incredibly professional. Shannon patiently answered every question and showed remarkable dedication in tracking down the aurora. Her persistence paid off: we were lucky enough to witness the northern lights and capture some amazing photos. It was a magical adventure we’ll cherish forever.

5.00Our guide, Shannon, was great. She drove us very safely. We had timely stops. She was very keen in finding us the northern lights on a very cloud night. She did find us a spot to see the northern lights an hour before the trip ended. It was well worth the arduous 12+ hours

2.00After reading so many positive reviews, we were excited for this adventure. The trip description and reviews did not match our experience. The company policy is to rotate seats on this 14 hour trip. When picked up, the three of us moved to the back of the van out of courtesy and ease of picking up others for the tour. We expected seat rotation. There was none, even when asked. We certainly anticipated a bumpy road, but it is common knowledge that the last row is the worst place to sit, especially for 14 hours. Second, we select local tours because we value and enjoy the knowledge and expertise that a native guide provides. Although Guy shared some interesting, personal experiences, the trip had minimal commentary. A missed opportunity with such an interesting state and area. There was a rushed feel to the trip and an evident lack of interest from our guide. Guy did guide us to see the northern lights which was the only positive experience. We directed our concerns to the company first before writing this review but received no response.

5.00Our tour on Tuesday of 10/21/2025 and our guide was Shannon (hope I spell her name correctly). Everything was well informed and she showed up on time to pick us up from our hotel. She was very pleasant and most impressive young girl in her age that I have ever met. The trip to Arctic circle was long (total 14 hours) and the road condition was definitely not everyday normal highway condition. Snow, ice, foggy with low visibility and lot of bumpy roads along the trip made it very challenge while driving, but she handled it extremely well. We felt very safe with her. Unfortunately, the weather was too cloudy, so we were not able to see the clear sight of northern lights but the whole experience was totally worth. I will totally recommend this trip.

5.00Shannon was amazing! She worked so hard to make sure we could see even a little of the Aurora despite the cloudiness during the trip. She was lovely, helpful, and full of so much Alaska knowledge. Highly recommend!
