All of our guides have individual and unique ties to the Amish community and have always enjoyed showing off the “true” Lancaster County. This rich, immersive experience is personally designed to give you a rare window into the authentic Amish culture. Every meal is an amazing experience!

* Vegetarian meals are available.

* Please note this tour is not confirmed until we secure an Amish Family host.

* The PA Department of Agriculture requires us to inform you in advance that these meals are prepared in private homes, which are not licensed or inspected.

* Please dress respectfully and adhere to their preferences to not photograph their faces.

This was a truly wonderful experience. Moses was awesome and answered our questions with enthusiasm and was a pleasure to be with. Our host was awesome and the food kept coming. Would highly recommend!

The tour guide was very informative and knew the area well. The meal was provided by an Amish host family. There was plenty of delicious food. We were encouraged to ask our hostess questions. It was an enjoyable and educational trip

It was all a very memorable and heartwarming experience! I was only there by myself, despite not knowing much English, but the guides and the people who were on the tour were friendly and kind, and it was easy and comfortable for me to join alone. The Amish were warmly welcomed and the food was delicious! Everyone seemed to be joined by a couple and friends, but I think it is a tour that can be enjoyed by one person. Thank you very much for your support this time!

Vietnamese cuisine is called to visit unconditionally, and the food is varied and really tasty. Kids like it, adults like it too.

This is the second time my wife and I have taken this Tour and Meal with loKal. We enjoyed it so much the first time that this time we wanted to share it with friends who were visiting us from Ohio. Our tour guide Moses was excellent! He was knowledgable, humorous, and related like an old friend to the Amish family in whose home we had lunch. The meal was simply delicious... everything homemade and served by two Amish women... the woman of the house and her mother who drove her horse and buggy to the home to help serve. After lunch a pre-school aged child took us out to the barn to show us her chickens, goats, and horses. We learned a great deal about the life of the Amish in Lancaster county, and felt like we were welcomed guests in the home. A recommended trip that we may take again in the future!

Thanks to all who made this experience so pleasant and so educational. Our driver was raised in Lancaster and was very informed about the Amish and answered our many questions. The host family was very gracious, friendly, and personable. The food was excellent. We all tried Shoo-fly pie for the first time (and liked it). We learned a lot from them, and hopefully they learned interesting things from us.

Had a wonderful experience. Our tour guide was very informative. Our dinner hosts were friendly, kind, and imformative as well. The dinner was amazing, everything we were served was homemade that morning. Meatloaf and applesauce were outstanding! Sara’s shoe fly and pumpkin pie were delicious. We were lucky to have a beautiful fall day to enjoy our ride. Shared the trip with very nice couples we met that day. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the drive time with Jamie, who was very personable and knowledgeable about the area as well as the Amish. The meal was fantastic! The entire experience was well worth the price!
