What sets this experience apart is the opportunity to cook a complete North Indian meal from scratch in a real Mumbai home, guided step-by-step by Bijal. Guests don’t just follow a recipe, they learn how to confidently use Indian spices, understand flavour balance and recreate dishes back home.
The class is intentionally small and highly interactive, so every guest gets personal guidance in Bijal’s home kitchen. Even after the experience, guests can reach out for recipe support and cooking tips, making this a practical, skill-building experience that stays with them long after their trip to Mumbai.

This workshop was more than just food, it was a full experience. From understanding the ingredients to actually seeing the North Indian dishes' preparation, everything felt very personal and authentic. I enjoy cooking these dishes for myself when I invite my friends over. Perfect for anyone who want to experience real Indian home cooking.

Had such a lovely experience with Bijal’s Food Creations! I traveled from Calcutta and was interested in taking a local cooking class for a day. The Indian Punjabi food felt incredibly homely and full of flavor, you can really tell it’s made with a lot of care and passion. The entire experience was warm, welcoming, and Bijal Shah had so much patience. This is something I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try authentic home-style Indian food :D

Bijal’s cooking class was the only one in Mumbai that a solo traveler could sign up for (at least on that day), so I was really grateful to find it. She was very warm and accommodating, and upon learning my favorite dish, replaced one of her planned menu items with it so I could learn how to make it. Together we made palak paneer, dal tadka, jeera rice and garlic naan from scratch. Everything came out delicious! Bijal is an experienced teacher, and aside from how to make them, I learned how multiple dishes can be prepared efficiently. It was also helpful to see how she had her herbs and spices stored for practical use. I also really enjoyed our conversation after the meal. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Mumbai!
