As a remote region you'll find more tranquil spots & fresher air here compared to the highly-modernized southern part of Bali. However, due to the distance, you'll need to be prepared to go early before dusk.

Lempuyang Temple
Nicknamed “The Gateway to Heaven” this mountain temple has become the top priority for everyone who’s on a mission to capture the most Instagrammable spots in Bali. Located 600 meters above sea level at the hillside slope of Mount Lempuyang in east Bali, the “Gateway” itself offers a backdrop of Mount Agung and will get you a feeling of reaching out to sky to catch a glimpse of cloud while breathing cold and humid air (please remember to cover your shoulder).
Tirta Gangga
Literally means “Blessed Water of Ganges,” this water palace was built and designed by Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem, the last ruling King of Karangasem who happened to be a prominent canal engineer in 1948. Tirta Gangga was created to improve the holiness of the spring water and to serve as a place for comtemplation, rest and joy for everyone. The 1.2-hectare palace comprises mainly of ponds, plants and sculptures mixing Balinese and Chinese style. The stepping stone and the fountain are the main spectacle but you can swim in the pond (which is regarded as holy) and feed the fish for great picture and relaxation.

5.00We had a wonderful time in Bali – the trip was truly amazing! Our guide, Trita, was incredibly friendly and made the entire experience feel safe, smooth, and comfortable. Although we initially planned the trip on our own without a package, we soon realized that choosing a local guide was the best decision. With long drives (2–3 hours) between many locations, having someone who knows the best routes and local insights made all the difference. Trita also handled entry tickets in advance for popular spots like waterfalls and cultural shows like the Ramayana Dance, saving us from long queues and hassle. Highly recommend exploring Bali with a knowledgeable local guide like Trita – it truly enhances the experience!

2.00Our tour guide wasn’t great. He did show up on time, take us to the various locations and give us free bread crumbs to feed the fish. However that was about it. He complained of being unwell and sick so he stayed back in the car to sleep at each spot after the first. He only snapped two pictures after we asked him to. He did not provide any information about what we were seeing/where we were going.

5.00Hired this company with my dad for 3 days to sightsee Bali. All 3 days were great but the final 2 days were the highlight simply because of Tara, our driver. He was informative, friendly, fun to talk to, and a pleasure to share a meal with. He was accommodating to our schedule and made in-the-moment changes when weather or traffic made certain destinations impractical to go to. Best driver in Bali and an all around good person
