Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, also known as the Ubud Monkey Forest, is one of the most famous attractions in Ubud, Bali. It’s a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex that serves as both a sanctuary for hundreds of long-tailed macaque monkeys and a significant cultural site. The forest spans over 12.5 hectares and is home to around 1,200 to 1,260 monkeys, making it a lively and engaging experience for visitors. The sanctuary also features lush greenery, with a rich variety of tropical plants and towering ancient trees. Within the forest, there are three Hindu temples dating back to the 14th century, dedicated to different deities, such as Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal, the main temple, which honors the god Shiva.
Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul Temple is a sacred Hindu water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring in Bali, Indonesia. It's famous for its holy spring water, which is believed to have curative properties and is used for ritual purification ceremonies. The temple complex dates back to the 10th century and is dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of water. Visitors to Tirta Empul can observe or participate in the purification rituals, where devotees bathe in the spring water to cleanse themselves spiritually and physically. The temple's architecture features intricate stone carvings, shrines, and pavilions set amidst lush greenery, creating a serene and spiritually significant atmosphere. 5.00It was a fantastic experience—we started by watching the sunrise at Campuhan Ridge Walk and ended up in the monkey forest. Nyoman was five-star; he provided plenty of explanations along the way and even took several photos of us so we could remember this fantastic experience.

5.00Our driver Dewa was absolutely reliable and incredibly friendly. We were able to customize the tour to our preferences and had a lot of fun. The communication beforehand was also super easy, and we received a very quick response via WhatsApp, allowing us to find a driver on short notice. We would book here again every time!

5.00Great day out in Ubud, Kintamani - visited Paperhills for amazing swim and lunch viewing Mt Batur, went to Tegalalang rice terraces for Swing, and Zipline. Also stopped at D'Kampoeng Coffee for Luwak Coffee and Balinese Tea tasting. Our driver Nyomen was very friendly and drove well and looked after our family for the day.
