5.00Jean was an excellent tour guide. The Basel Old Town is facinating and he combined stories of the past with real life today and gave us a great picture of life there. He answered questions and gave us lots of information. Would definitely recommend the tour.

1.00I do not write negative reviews. Generally believe only leave review if possitive. This is a exception. Rceived this email at 1:14 am for my 9:00am tour. "Hello Brad Kindly note the tour will be taking place on Wednesday morning at 09h00 We remain at your service!" As soon as I saw this message, I replied via WhatsApp, Viator portal and left voice message. I booked for today Tues 9am, not Wed. I assumed they just made a typo mistake when they said my tour was Wed. I tried to contact them for clarification. Tuesday was our last day in Basel. I never received a response from the Tour Company Tours of Switzerland so went to my Tuesday 9am time. No guide showed up. Had to call Viator, just to find out Tours of Switzerland canceled me the morning of the tour, rebooked me for the next day. I will not be in Basel that day. My party of 4 people was not enough for them to show up. They just sent out the encrypted email that morning. Not so bad they canceled, just howvthey did it. Terrible communication.
Basel City Tour Confusion

1.00This tour did not occur, as there was confusion between Viator and the local tour operator on the pickup location (our hotel), for which the location / address was previously indicated in the tour booking, which was made 7 months earlier. The tour operator did not contact Viator or us in advance to clarify the pickup location. We waited but no one showed up, and Viator / us could not reach the tour operator until later in the morning. Tour was not rescheduled. The tour operator advised that Viator did not pass on the specific pickup location and our contact info to them. A refund is pending from Viator / tour operator. Overall it was a very bad experience.

5.00Jonas was great! He gave us a customized tour of the old town shopping area & it was lovely. Pretty buildings, fantastic artworks & many shops & restaurants to choose from
