A true cultural sharing experience by making beaded friendship bracelet jewelry with a local Mayan woman. Perfect for individual travelers, volunteer groups, and families. Learn about the Mayan culture, and get a glimpse into their daily life. Beading class is around 2 hours, lunch is 1 hour or less, the village tour is around 2 hours.

5.00What a fantastic experience! The team understood my tight schedule and was happy to work around it. The center's visit was brief but beautiful and full of information about the place and its goals for the community, I could sense the passion and drive of everyone in the place, which made my whole experience so much better. Rosa was lovely and patient with me while we made the bracelet, the workshop was clean and beautiful with an amazing view of the lake and town. The restaurant looked amazing and I wish I had planned a time to have dinner after my beading class. The walk to the center is breathtaking, note that the hill is pretty steep, but there are a lot of taxis at the bottom to bring you up if needed, for around 10 Quetzals. Santa Cruz is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing your culture and your mission with me!
