Great tour end experience with Mike who is very knowledgeable and has great insight into the museum! Expect a full tour of ancient China with many different artifacts and famous pieces to look at. Very helpful for us!

Our guide, Mike, picked us up from our hotel in the morning and quickly took us to the museum. He spent 3.5 hours with us at the museum. He explained the most important artifacts in great detail. Whatever we were curious about and asked, he answered every question thoroughly. His knowledge of ancient Chinese history was incredible. He had brought along extra maps and visuals, which he used during his explanations. He spoke excellent English and was very polite and friendly. It was so obvious that he truly loved his job. If you’re planning to visit the National Museum of China, I strongly recommend asking for Mike.

A special thank you to our guide, Alice. My wife and I visited during Chinese New Year, when museum tickets were fully booked for the entire week of our stay. Alice and her team worked very hard to secure last-minute tickets for us, which we deeply appreciated. She picked us up from our hotel and guided us through a calm, informative tour of the museum. Even though the tour is normally four hours, she stayed with us for more than five due to the holiday crowds. Thank you, Alice, for going above and beyond and making our Beijing trip truly memorable.

The museum is very large and, on the day of our tour, extremely crowded. It would be possible to spend days at the museum seeing different exhibitions. Our tour with Mike fun, informative and in every respect excellent. We concentrated on the ancient historical section in the basement. Mike selected the most important and interesting pieces and made them come alive for us. We would highly recommend him to other people interested in exploring this museum. After the tour, Mike took us through Tiananmen Square and helped us get a taxi to our next location. An excellent experience!

Fantastic tour at the museum with Cathy! Cathy she was an excellent guide, very well educated, and extremely knowledgeable about chinese history, very informative, in the museum she pointed all the highlights displays and also the related stories behind, and guided me around in a professional way, taking time, no rush, making the tour are relaxed! She is not only guide for me, more like friend, I did my booking last minute the night before, and Meto tour company very quick reconfirmed my booking and organized the tickets fast, it was really smooth and convenient handling my reservation! This is so far one of the best tours in Beijing! Really enjoyed it and highly recommended!

A ticket to the National Museum was like gold dust, so I decided to book this tour. My guide Cathy was so lovely, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She picked me up from my hotel and got a private car to the museum, the line to get into the museum was quick. Though the museum was really busy, Cathy knew all the most important artefacts and offered to take pictures of me in front of them. She answered any questions I had and was happy to explore other exhibitions in the museum with me. For anyone interested in history and wanting to visit this museum, I'd really recommend it!

Cathy was the best tour guide possible. She gave us the best highlights of the museum with plenty of historical insights. We learned the China dynasty history and we feel that we know all the important facts. Cathy was also exited and smiley! Passionate for her country’s history. We were impressed with her performance. 100% recommended.
