  Great day out to a lake, Berat Castle and Berat City. Elvin was the best guide I’ve had so far in Albania. He entertained us along the way with stories and facts about Albania and what to expect during the day. He even toured us around the castle and gave us recommendations about where to eat and what to do in Berat. He really does his job well and enjoys what he is doing. The driver was excellent, as well. The scenery was beautiful and the traffic not bad at all.

  Fabulous day. The tour was scenic and it was very nicely paced. Our guide, Paola, was super friendly and she provided an excellent overview of the places we visited.

  A great way to visit and see the important sites of Berat including climbing up to the castle to see the views of the town and the beautiful landscape around. Our guide, Arta, was fantastic.   Great day trip. Our guide Fjona was excellent and very informative throughout the day. She gave us information of places to eat and drink in Berat and also kept us all up to date with WhatsApp regarding meeting times and locations.. Would highly recommend.

  The pre-trip organisation was poor. We didn’t receive the details of our meeting place/time until 22.45 the night prior (by which time were asleep!) and were only told Twin Towers / Pyramid. The guide sent a Google maps link to the meeting point but it didn’t work, so there was a lot of confusion in the group and the guide wasn’t being clear enough to help. We eventually found the meeting point by asking other tour guides, but this whole process needs improving as it started the day off badly. The tour itself was well organised. We stopped off at Belsh, however only for 30 mins which wasn’t quite enough to have a drink comfortably by the time we walked to a a restaurant. On arrival at the Berat, the coach parked at the bottom of the castle; there is a steep climb up from there to the castle; it’s not for the elderly or infirm 🤣 My mum, aged 78, struggled. Next leg of the castle tour was to look at a church, again a steep climb by stairs so we had to miss that. At that point we decided the tour was going to be too inaccessible so we missed the rest. The final leg was a stop at the old city of Berat and the guide recommended a wonderful restaurant, Friendly House, to us. The salad’s are amazing and we would recommend. The coach was nice, the timings clear and the air conditioning was appreciated.
