Since Berat is located further south than Tirana, temperatures during the summer can be noticeably higher. We kindly recommend bringing a bottle of water, a sunhat, and wearing light, comfortable clothing to ensure you stay cool and enjoy the tour to the fullest

Berat Castle
Upon arrival, visit Berat Castle, a remarkable fortress where people still live within its ancient walls. As you explore, admire the stunning views of the city and discover several well-preserved Byzantine churches. Next, you have the option to visit the Onufri Museum (optional) known for its breathtaking collection of sacred artwork with vibrant red and gold hues.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful experience. Would highly recomend! We had Fjona who was absolutely lovely and very information. Great value for money. Especially given the length of the day a full experience. The coach was a small but busy coach but a good amount of people with a lovely atmosphere.

5.00Fjona was great as our tour guide! Really fun, energetic, and informative. She provided a great balance of insights and free time to explore. The organisation was excellent, with WhatsApp used to make sure everybody knew what to do, so there was no waiting around wondering whether you'd missed something. Fjona went on to not only provide an overview of Albania and the places we visited, but provided a load of extra recommendations for the rest of our visit to Tirana. Definitely recommend this tour.

5.00This tour has been one of the most amazing tours that I have been during my stay in Albania. From the Berat castle, to the city centre, to the local food that we ate, everything was perfect. Fjona, our tour guide was very nice, informative and helpful with all the tourists needs. You should put this tour at the top 3 of your list when travelling Albania. 5 stars!

5.00The tour was relaxed and enjoyable overall, and we made great use of our time. Fjona was a wonderful guide, and everything was well organized and as expected. Berat’s unique historical atmosphere and the beautiful castle made the experience even more special. The view of Belshi Lake was also stunning. The group size was perfect — not too crowded and not too small — and it was great that the castle entrance fee was included in the tour..

1.00Lopsided tour with no reference or explanation of the ottoman influence or legacy (4 centuries worth of Ottoman Albania totally ignored). The focus is just on church ruins, Christian legacy, and Byzantine heritage. We were not showed the mosque ruins even though they exist at the castle. There was not even any showcasing of the sufi tekkes. The tour seemed like a very intentional exclusion of anything Islam or Ottoman-related. Honestly disappointed.

4.00As I can compare to other tours in other places I can't give 5 stars. 4.5 but be fair. Belshi lake was not necessary stop. Guide was funny and provided lot of information about the history. Berati was impressive.
