Ghosts & Gravestones Tour Boston
Step aboard the trolley of the doomed and join your host, a 17th-century grave digger, cursed with a sentence of eternal damnation. This wretched creature is doomed to travel the streets of Boston and relay the stories of the unfortunate souls he encountered and the macabre events he had been witness to during his purgatory. Hear about Boston's most sinister characters - from the Angel of Death to the king of all killers - the Boston Strangler. Learn about all the haunts that call the "Hub" their home. But that's not all! Step inside two of the oldest burying grounds in Boston for a walking tour you will never forget. Learn the significance of much of the imagery found in these 17th century burial grounds and the famous and not so famous (but even more interesting) occupants therein. Visit Copp's Hill Burying Ground in the North End, nestled atop the tallest point in one of Boston's oldest historic districts. Here you will visit the final resting place of Cotton Mather, a man famous for his "intimate" involvement with the Salem Witch Trials. Then to the Granary Burying Ground where you will visit the final resting places of many of the famous heroes of the American Revolution including John Hancock, Paul Revere and Samuel Adams. Remember that half of the tour is walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended (so you don't become "dead" on your feet)!

We had an amazing tour! Our guide Ronnie was knowledgeable, spooky and hilarious all at the same time. The tour blends local history with a brisk trolley ride through Boston. The tour lasts roughly 1 hr 30 mins. Admission for 3 adults and one child was $157.00.

Petunia was so engaging and entertaining, while also being extremely knowledgeable about the history and lore around Boston’s ghoulish history. We couldn’t have had a better experience!

Not what expected. Good intention but I guess you need to be a little buzzed to enjoy it more I would be more happy if it would be a story teller about dark Boston history as a normal excursion.

This tour was extremely entertaining. Our guide Mercy brought a lot of energy, humor, and fun facts to the tour. We also had a good group that did a lot of participating. We appreciated that there was both a little bit of walking along with the ride on the trolley. The tour stops at two cemeteries were especially chilling at night.

We had a wonderful time on our tour. It’s a perfect mix of spooky tales with the history of Boston. We’ve done many ghost tours across the US and overseas and this one was top notch. Tour guides were super knowledgeable, charismatic and funny. There was a decent amount of walking but nothing crazy and going in the cemeteries after dark was super cool. Definitely recommend

You walk around the 2 historical graveyards in Boston. They tell funny stories and interesting factoids about different people who died and famous deaths in the area (back in colonial times mainly).

Great atmospheric tour. Really enjoyed the history of the various stops along the way. Lots of walking, so definitely need good comfy walking footwear.
