Canterbury
Having travelled out of London and through countryside of Kent, the first stop will be the historic city of Canterbury, known especially for its Cathedral, which is the most senior church of England and dates back to the year 597ad. Take time to visit the Cathedral and explore the city centre.
Deal
Next we'll visit the pretty seaside town of Deal. It was here that the first Roman invasion landed in Britain in 55bc. A previously prosperous port, today Deal is regarded as a 'mini-Brighton', known for its charming high street, sea-front and pier. Take time to explore and have lunch.

Great alternative to overcrowded London tourist areas

5.00Great tour! Our guide Liam was phenomenal, knowledgeable about English history and as we drove he curated a playlist to accompany the places we visited and the history which I enjoyed. He gave us recommendations on things to do and see at each stop. There are places to purchase food/drinks and souvenirs. Some cute vintage shops caught my eye in Canterbury as well as the cathedral. Deal is a nice beach town for lunch you can grab fish and chips to dine in or take away, and a lovely beach. The walk along the cliffs was great although I wish we’d spent more time there. Fantastic day and glad the weather wound up cooperating.

5.00Liam was a great guide. He is knowledgeable and funny. The trip was easy in a comfortable mini bus. The Canterbury Cathedral is gorgeous! You arrive and have two hours to walk around on your own (not guided). After you’ll travel to Deal for lunch on your own (about an hour). Finally you’ll stop at the White Cliffs of Dover. Wear good shoes for that one. It’s a hike but beautiful. Liam was very helpful with questions and also played great music on the trip! Highly recommend!

5.00A fantastic experience filled with history and beautiful sites. The Canterbury Cathedral, and White Cliffs of Dover were unlike anything we’ve seen. Our tour guide Kevin, was fantastic!

5.00We had a great guide (Lee?). He was engaging and knowledgeable. While we would have liked a little more time in Canterbury and especially Deal, we realize that time is tight and he got us everywhere on time. A really nice experience.

5.00It was a beautiful day but very windy. I would have liked more time at the cliffs rather than so much time in Canterbury. Town of Deal was very charming
