- AucklandYour day begins in New Zealand’s largest city. As we leave Auckland, your guide will set the stage for the day’s adventure, pointing out key landmarks and sharing fascinating insights about the area.
- WaikatoJourney south through the picturesque Waikato countryside, renowned as the world's most extensive farming region. Along the way, take in the beautiful scenery, mighty rivers, and impressive mountains, with plenty of photo opportunities.
- Coromandel PeninsulaEntering the Coromandel Peninsula, you'll encounter its untouched beauty, from white sand beaches to sprawling native forests. We’ll make several scenic stops for short walks and photo opportunities, soaking in the region’s breathtaking landscapes en route to our first major destination.
- Hot Water BeachRelax at the famous Hot Water Beach. If tides allow, dig a hole in the sand to create your personal geothermal spa while ocean waves gently cool you off. Don’t forget swimwear and a change of clothes for this unique experience!
- Cathedral CoveAfter a delicious lunch (own expense), visit Cathedral Cove, one of New Zealand’s most iconic natural landmarks. The challenging walk to Cathedral Cove takes between 30 - 45 minutes, but the reward is well worth it, stunning coastal views and the opportunity to explore this breathtaking beach. Mautohe Cathedral Cove has been named one of the Top 50 Beaches in the World!!
- Return to AucklandAs we head back to Auckland, your guide will ensure the journey remains engaging, including secret stops and more fascinating insights along the way.
PLEASE NOTE: Access to Cathedral Cove is weather-dependent. For safety reasons, the track may be unsuitable after or during heavy rain. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be made to ensure you still have an incredible experience.

5.00From start to finish this tour was well thought out to make for a fantastic day. Weather was on our side and made for fantastic views at Cathedral Cove and a quick sampling of hot water beach. Also really appreciate Cheeky Kiwi’s change to have lunch included— simplified the planning and the options were delicious!

5.00It was a really nice trip! Cathedral cove was beautiful and I went for a winter swim at hot water beach. It was awesome! I’d definitely recommend this tour.

5.00Amazing tour with an amazing guide! All sorts of eye candy along the way to make it a fantastic day and appreciate the beauty New Zealand has to offer! Trent made multiple stops for us that werent a part of the itinerary which took the day from a 10/10 to an 11/10. Truly recommend this experience

5.00Although it did ended up raining halfway through the tour we had an enjoyable experience walking down and taking in the view at the Coromandel Cathedral. Our guide was also helpful in showing people where to dig and dip the feet’s at hot water beach to experience the hot springs the best

5.00If only I could give 6 stars, I would award them. This is largely due to our guide, Simon. He told us so many interesting facts we did not know before, he was kind, patient, attentive to our needs and had a good sense of humor. We saw very few other visitors. Both beaches were exceptional experience. The trip went very smoothly.

From start to finish, everything was well organized, stress-free, and exceeded my expectations. A special shoutout to Simon, who truly made the experience exceptional. His knowledge of the area, local history, and New Zealand culture added so much to the day, and he shared it all with enthusiasm, humour, and genuine passion. He struck the perfect balance between keeping the tour informative and making it feel relaxed and fun. Cathedral Cove was every bit as stunning as the photos, and Simon made sure everyone had plenty of time to enjoy the views, take photos, and soak in the experience. Hot Water Beach was such a unique experience, and his tips on where and when to dig for the warmest water were spot on!
