Yakatabune dates back to the Heian period (794-1185), and during the Edo period (1603-1868), it was used by nobles and merchants for entertainment. Sitting comfortably on the deck, enjoy the beautiful scenery around you.

Be mesmerized as a skilled shamisen performer fills the night air with enchantingmelodies. Embarking and disembarking on Tokyo Bay is made effortless, allowingtravelers to fully enjoy the serene atmosphere.During the journey, you can see the distantlights of Tokyo Tower. When the boat docks at Odaiba, can see the Statue of libertyand the Fuji Television Building.

On the upper deck, unwind on a spacious open-air viewing platform that leads to auniquely designed outdoor observation area where the beauty of Tokyo Bay unfoldsbefore your eyes.

Frustrating Experience with Viator’s Inflexible Cancellation Policy

I want to highlight Viator’s strict 24-hour cancellation policy, which allows no exceptions, even for circumstances beyond a customer’s control. While in Japan, I booked an event through Viator and encountered an issue. Two hours before the 5 p.m. event, I requested an Uber from Sanrio Puroland (also booked via Viator), a one-hour trip to the venue. When Uber delayed confirming a pickup, I contacted the venue to explain I might be late and asked to reschedule for 7 p.m. They said rescheduling wasn’t possible and directed me to Viator. I called Viator’s customer service (Aila), explained my situation, and proposed deducting meal costs (for my family of three, including an 8-year-old) to facilitate a cancellation. Aila said she’d look into it but soon emailed that cancellation wasn’t allowed due to incurred meal costs, offering no alternatives. This experience was deeply frustrating. A reliable business should consider uncontrollable circumstances and show flexibility. My advice: if there’s any chance you might not make an event, cancel well before the 24-hour deadline. Moving forward, I’ll be using alternative services for tours and events.

It was a wonderful dinner cruise. The boat was fabulous, the food was great, the entertainment was awesome. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

We had a great time on our dinner cruise!! The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and the entertainment was very talented!!! I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Tokyo.
