Escape the city and immerse yourself in the charm of Tuscany’s rolling Chianti hills, where vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see and every sip tells a story.
Departing comfortably from Florence, travel by air-conditioned coach through breathtaking countryside with your friendly tour leader, who will share insights into the region’s wine-making traditions and culture.
You’ll visit two carefully selected wineries, where expert hosts will guide you through tastings of 4 different wines, including the renowned Chianti Classico and local reserves.
Enhance your experience with samples of extra virgin olive oil, fresh Tuscan bread, and traditional cold cuts.
Afterwards, enjoy some leisure time in the enchanting medieval village of Monteriggioni, famous for its perfectly preserved circular walls and picturesque stone streets. Stroll around, take stunning photos, and soak up the true spirit of Tuscany.

Spend an afternoon visiting the heart of Tuscany and its well known Chianti region. Leave in the early afternoon and head south, you will soon be immersed in a picturesque landscape with gently rolling hills and little hilltop villages. The first stop will be at a charming wine estate in the countryside. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of the wine cellar, having the opportunity to gain insight to the various stages of wine production; but most important you will have the chance to taste some locally produced Chianti wine, the famous wise blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. You will also taste some local products such as cold meat and salami, together with some typical bruschetta. The second stop of the day will be Monteriggioni the charming walled medieval village. Enjoy some free time and take a walk in this small village known and famous thanks to Dante Alighieri who cited it on his masterpiece The Divine Comedy. Afterwords you will continue with the second winery in the middle of Chianti Classico area. Fall in love with this boutique winery surrounded by endless garden, olive trees and nature. Learn the history of the property, see the wine cellars and finish your visit with an authentic wine tasting. Then take some time to take unique pictures before heading back to Florence where the tour will end.

3.00The wine tasting was nice, but both were at very commercialized wineries and both had a big interest in selling us their product. There was no tour of the winery or cellars, which is what I thought we would get. My mom doesn’t drink much, so I was just hoping it would be informative and fun. We had a good time, but it both wineries were making jokes about getting drunk, when that’s not why we were there. So depends what you’re doing for. Also, our tour guide was really unfriendly. I’ve been on a tour in wine country Italy before and it was so much more involved with tour guides who felt like friends. Overall, this was fun enough but eh.
