It would have been an excellent experience, however, having chosen the upper section seating, we found that we had to stand to view highlights because at least 50 people without seats stood around and blocked our vision. Even though an announcement was made that those without seats should leave the upper deck, IT WASN’T ENFORCED! My friends and I got to the pier intentionally early to get seating on the upper deck.

The Circle Line experience was amazing! The guide was very knowledgeable about New York and New Jersey history. Being an educator, this was a great way to get in a learning experience and make it fun! Being able to see the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge that close is something we will not forget.

After considering the longer 2 hr tour we opted for the shorter one due to more flexibility with the tour times. I'm glad we did. This one was the perfect length for us. The guide did a good job throughout the door and the boat slowed down near the statue so we could take pics. It does get pretty close to it. The urban scenery en route is fantastic and on the way back they go under the brooklyn bridge before turning around and getting you back to dock. Their location is easy to find and there is a shopping/dining hall adjacent so you can spend time there if you get here early. Highly recommended.
