5.00These buses are great for getting around Edinburgh and the outskirts . We got a 48hr ticket as we were there for the weekend and we done the whole 3 routes and also used it to get us from ine attraction to the other. Not all routes have a tour guide, but instead have audio guide with free map and earphones . The tour guides are great witu lots of info you don’t get off the audio guides

5.00We loved the Hop on/Hop off tour - a great way to get around to a bigger area without having to walk or take other transportation. Bonus getting to learn more about the areas we saw. The staff were all very helpful and the drivers friendly. The ear buds they provided were really comfortable (we used them on the flight home!). All in all, highly recommend as an option!

5.00A great way to see the city. We went around twice and each time we saw something different. There is audio in all different languages as well. The buses are frequent at all 14 stops.

3.00We prebooked with Viator and had emails to prove it. We never received our actual email tickets from Viator or City Sightseeing. The company gave us some pushback when we tried to get on, I had to be on with customer service for about 15 minutes. That was very unfortunate as I worked so hard to get everything booked before our trip. Plenty of people were booking on the same day at the bus stops, we were there in early June. I thought the red line tour of Edinburgh was decent. The headset would often switch languages and was too loud or too soft (there was no middle ground). It is not terribly expensive comparatively, we used it a bit to get around Edinburgh the next morning. If a 48 hour ticket is not a lot more expensive, it maybe worth it if you can use it as a bus the next day. I am a very fit 54 year old and I still needed a break from walking/standing some of the time. We also used it to get out of a brief rain shower! My advice to all of you planning trips is to write down not only your itinerary but who it is booked through. And find each ticket/qr code 3-4 days in advance.

5.00Excellent tours - we did all 3 over 2 days. Each one was interesting and informative but the outstanding one was the green bus with Scott as guide and Andrew as driver. Scott was extremely knowledgible and had a great sense of humour - made the hours trip a real pleasure. Great value for money and would recommend to anyone.
