Colombo to Ella train ride is known as one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. We facilitate our clients to book 1st class AC compartment or 2nd class non-AC reserved seats. The train starts its journey from Colombo Railway station by 0830 hrs. The train would reach Ella by 1716 hrs. and the most scenic part of the train journey is from Haputale to Hatton.

During the journey the train goes passing lush greenish tea estates, many tunnels, farming fields, villages, various types of forests etc

I had a fantastic experience with the train ticket service! The process was seamless, and I didn’t have to wait in line at all. I was able to purchase my ticket and reserve a window seat, which was perfect for my photography needs. The ticket was sent to me via WhatsApp, making everything convenient and efficient. Lakpura organised our tickets and our drive from Negombo. Everything worked like clockwork and we were at Colombo Station in plenty of time. The train ride was everything it’s cracked up to be! Relaxing, bumpy, beautiful - arrived into Ella and all its beauty 9 hours later.
