On this half-day Morning or Afternoon Cu Chi Tunnels tour, you will see the Cu Chi complex with its network of tunnels and traps, and learn about how society functioned underground during times of war. You can also try your hand at shooting range with an AK-47

What To Expect

Cu Chi Tunnels

Around 8:00AM or 12:10PM. Start with pickup from the center of Ho Chi Minh City or meet at the meeting point then depart for Cu Chi Tunnels. After 1.5 hour drive, we arrive at the Tunnels where You'll have the opportunity to explore the tunnel system, which includes narrow passageways, hidden entrances, and underground chambers. Learn about the daily life of the Cu Chi guerrilla fighters and how they managed to survive in the tunnels. You can crawl distances through the tunnels that were used by the guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam War. You may see kitchens, living quarters, among other things used during the war. Learn about how different types traps were created and set up. Visit the weapon rooms and learn how the ingenious soldiers made them. You can also safely try your hand at the shooting range with an AK-47. After exploration, we travel back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive approximately at 3:30pm for the morning tour and 7:00pm for the afternoon tour.

It was so interesting and our guide was so nice and funny. He explained everything so good. And it was fun to learn and see everything. I can’t explain the feeling but how you could see everything and got the information made you feel something. Just crazy that people thought about everything and to know how they acted in the war.

The entire experience was pretty good. Our guide Dat was really good and was well informed. The shooting is something you should skip unless you want to fire a gun.

Boa was a great tour guide. Good attitude and gave a lot of great historical context on our way to the site. We were however told our pickup time would be 0800-0815, and at 0745 I got a call saying they were outside—which we were okay with because we weren’t doing anything and were ready—but do take note because they were early to pick up most groups in our tour asking them to come down early. We made a stop at the firing range, which honestly I would have skipped next time. You have to pay for bullets, but what they don’t advertise is that they’re all blanks, and they list the bullet price per 1 bullet-but then make you get a minimum of 15-20. We ended up spending around $57 USD per individual for a kind of cool moment, but again they were blanks so you couldn’t even see where you were shooting. The tunnels were amazing! Boa was great leading us through that and it was neat to see the different traps they would create as well-that part was awesome and well worth it. Afterwards we stopped at a restaurant on the way back to town which was super cute, we didn’t get any food but loved the time to sit and chat with the group. Overall a good experience-just skip the guns lol
