The Dazu Rock Carvings are a series of Chinese religious sculptures and carvings and UNESCO World Heritage Site, which date back as far as the 7th century AD. Baoding site is the most importance and biggest attraction of the group of sites located around Dazu area, combines three amazing factors of this world-class heritage in one: the sculpture style that combines Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, the ancient craftsmen’s wisdom and understanding about architectural structure and light, and the unique Chinese filial piety culture reflected in the mural stories.
