  Queuing to get in was not good and the trip adviser ticket was not recognised and they had to look up the booking online. The park was great; I'm surprised people can still hold koalas as this has been stopped in NSW.

  Dear Management Team, I am writing to formally bring to your attention a highly disappointing experience my partner and daughter had at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary yesterday, Friday, 15 May. We drove over 200 kilometers from the Sunshine Coast specifically to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with a booked Capybara Encounter at 14:00. What was meant to be a special birthday memory instead ended in immense disappointment and unnecessarily hostile customer service. My family arrived early at approximately 13:00 to explore the sanctuary before their scheduled event. They took the internal train service to the far end of the park. However, when they attempted to take the train back for their encounter, the service unexpectedly stopped running. Consequently, they had to navigate the walk back on foot, unfortunately became lost, and arrived at the encounter location roughly 20 minutes late. While I understand the sanctuary operates on tight schedules, the cancellation of the event was only the beginning of a very poor customer experience. I want to highly commend the on-site staff member who tried incredibly hard to radio the event team to see if they could return, especially knowing it was my daughter's birthday. Following this, they went to the front reception where the receptionist was incredibly understanding and gracefully began processing a refund. However, during this process, a staff member from the office abruptly intervened. This individual aggressively questioned my partner and daughter about why they missed the event. Even after my partner re-explained the train breakdown and the fact that it was our daughter's birthday, this staff member acted visibly annoyed and sternly stated that "next time" a refund would not be permitted. To be completely clear, a refund was never our priority. My daughter was looking forward to this experience for her birthday, and we invested a four-hour round-trip drive to make it happen. While we accept accountability for being late, the service stop of your park's transport infrastructure was the root cause of the delay. More importantly, the severe lack of empathy and hospitality shown by your office staff member turned a disappointing situation into an incredibly upsetting one. The hospitality industry is built on creating wonderful memories; instead, my daughter’s birthday was ruined by a rigid and confrontational interaction. As it stands, we have no intention of returning to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. I am bringing this to your attention in the hope that you will address this office staff member's conduct and review how your team handles unexpected transport service failures when guests have time-sensitive, pre-booked events.   Very big wildlife sanctuary, but the mini train made getting around very easy. Food in the cafe was very good and so was the service.

  Fun day. Staff are very friendly and informative. The bird show was really good. Loved the train around the park to get from a to b. Would recommend.

  Wonderful habitats! The animals were amazing. Got to pet the kangaroos. Saw so many koalas very closeup, too. The birds were amazing during the show and were very cool to hear throughout the park. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire exhibit. Definitely recommend.

  Pleasant day strolling around Currumbin Widelife Park. Not as many animals as I was expecting however they are probably spread out (due to the size of the place) which probably makes it feel like less. Started at the main entrance, caught the train, walked through all the different areas back to the start. Was quite warm on the day we went. No rain fortunately. Plenty of water refill stations. Not a bad day out. A little pricey for what you get.

  Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary was awesome I enjoyed seeing all the different animals and birds, I would recommend visiting here when on the Gold Coast.

  A lovely zoo which appears to be looking after its animals. We have been a couple of times now and our children really enjoy this establishment.   It has a nice feel to it with the added splash playground, wild bird show, train and arears where you can get in and touch animals.   We spent 5 hours here and thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring all of its corners.

  Just the best out door day trip to experience with kids. Hand feeding kangaroos, finding hiding animals, walking through beautiful woodlands and hoping on and off the wee train. The bird show was enchanting and we stayed on to watch the trainers working birds through new routines. Easy to get there by bus from Broadbeach. We loved this experience
