The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
Avoid crowded tour buses and slow-moving tour groups with a handy private driver to take you to the famous Terracotta Warriors. Meet your local guide at 8am in the hotel lobby. You are expecting 7000 life size terracotta warriors all in the real battle formation, which were buried underground over 2200 years (recommended visiting time: 2.5 hours with lots of flat walking). The Museum visit includes three original pits, Pit 1 as the main force, Pit 2 as the Flexible Troupe and Pit 3 as Command Center. There is also an exhibition hall for different exhibitions from time to time. This is definitely a treasure house to study the history of the first dynasty of China, the Qin Dynasty.
Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang)
Xi'an city wall is the only intact city wall kept in China and is now the landmark of Xi'an. With the length of 13.74 kilometers, the wall is in a rectangular shape in a perfect defense system. By ascending the wall, you can see the moat, the arrow tower and the watch towers and the water drainage system.

5.00Had a great tour with Wendy. The pickup and drop-off made the tour smooth and stress-free. Wendy had a lot of info about the terracotta warriors, and the history of the region of Xi'an. We had a great time getting to see some additional sites inside the Xi'an old town. Highly recommend the tour as a great way to get to know Xi'an, the history of the silk road, and how it shaped the present day.

5.00We had an amazing tour of Xi’an with our guide, Becky. Becky was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and helpful. Her passion for showing us places and explaining their history was contagious, and we came away from the tour wanting to learn even more about Xi’an and the history there. We did the Terra-cotta Warriors, City Wall and Muslim Quarter. Becky also recommended and helped us book 2 shows - the Army Reborn and Tang Dynasty shows. They were both great and we’d really recommend them. Our driver was also great and super helpful and efficient. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend to others!

5.00Wendy is a fantastic tour guide. Her knowledge of the sites and history is extensive, her explanations are well thought out, and her English is strong. She is also fantastic at working out the logistics and modifying them on the fly to adapt to your itinerary. For example, you never backtrack on her tour and the driver meets you within a few minutes at your new location. If she suggests a restaurant, points out a stall in the market, or steers you away from a stall, I suggest following her lead—it worked very well for me. Finally she is considerate and thoughtful about the small things (bathrooms, napkins, water).

5.00Our one day guided tour with Wendy included Terracotta pit sites, a stunning theatrical show "An Army Reborn" and Huaqing Palace. The original date which I booked, forecasted to be a winter rainy day. She made changed to her schedule to accommodate us to visit the places which we being looking forward to visit for so long. Her vast knowledge of China's history n archeological matters is obvious. She also gave us suggestions on where we could go on that cold n wet day. With her suggestion we could continue with our sightseeing. We highly recommend Wendy for a memorable Xi'an experience.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Wendy as our tour guide in Xi’an. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and proactive in sharing fascinating information about the history and culture of the city. Wendy picked us up together with her driver in a very comfortable and spacious van, which made the entire day smooth and relaxing. She was extremely flexible with our itinerary and always made sure the tour was tailored to our interests and pace. On top of that, Wendy is genuinely friendly, warm, and easy to spend time with, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend Wendy to anyone visiting Xi’an and would definitely book her again without hesitation the next time we are in the city. An outstanding guide and a truly memorable experience!

5.00My family of five loves Wendy! She definitely went the extra mile to ensure that we had an enjoyable and safe trip. We booked for a one-day tour but Wendy alerted me two days before that Xi’an Museum will not be opened on Tuesdays. She offered to do a half-day tour for us on Monday and meet us again on Tuesday. She was also very patient with us, especially with my 11-year-old boy, answering all his questions. 😍 Although she is effectively bilingual, she communicated with us in English because we requested for an English guide. 😊

5.00Above and beyond guide services. Wendy is incredibly knowledgeable, considerate of your needs and pace while still getting a full indept experience. She is fun, energetic and entertaining. She goes above and beyond in service and offering suggestion to further enhance your visit. Need to go to the bathroom - yes she brought toilet paper. Your only going there once, take her and her advice. She made arrangements for Great Wall in Beijing to a less touristie area for next day All fees included as stated, added experiences get 1st class treatment at great price- 1st row seats and personal service. 5.00If you're looking for more than just a photo op with the Terracotta Warriors, if you want to understand Xi'an, its layers of history, and its vibrant present, then you absolutely must book a tour with Wendy. Our day was nothing short of phenomenal, highly highly recommend!

5.00Some may opt to try to get to the Terracotta Warrior complex by train or by bus tour, but we opted for the private tour to save time and any frustration of trying to keep up with a tour group in a sea of tour groups and maybe hear snippets of what you're staring at. This tour was well worth the time and fee! We were picked up promptly at our hotel by our smiling guide and then driven in a comfortable van an hour or so out to the covered dig sites pits and elaborate museum hall. Bottled water was supplied too, which given the high heat at the time, made it a necessary thing. Keep in. mind these are well preserved artifacts and displays with busy crowds of other sightseers inching their way to get that great camera phone or camera shot. The fee you pay covers the entrance fee, the private van, and amazing guide who'll not just explain what all is to be found at the Terracotta Warrior displays but its history as well. An added benefit was that she also took photos of us instead of us trying to get our own out of focus selfies. Our guide also recommended where to get some nice snacks and tolerated my souvenir shopping because, hey, it's the Terracotta Warriors! Do yourself a favor and opt for the private tour because if you're spending all the time and expense to get to Xi'an, spend a little of comfort and convenience.
