City of Ghosts - An Bang Cemetery
OPTIONAL STOP: Tombs City of Ghosts is located in An Bang Village, Phu Vang district of Thua Thien Hue province in Central Vietnam. This cemetery with hundreds of huge, colored tombs/mausoleums of all shapes. An Bang is a tranquil village near Thuan An Beach, about 20 kilometers East of Hue City. Therefore, the local people call it City of Ghosts.

5.00David was an amazing tour guide on this trip! His English was very good, so it was easy to communicate and answer all of my Dad’s many questions. He was easy to be with in the car all day, and his main focus was clearly making sure we enjoyed our trip :) He stayed with all our belongings while we explored each stop so we knew our things were safe. I recommend bringing lots of cash if you do not book your tickets for certain spots in advanced. Highly recommend this trip if you want to see the various cool spots he showed us that were between the two cities!

5.00Our driver David was great. He communicated by WhatsApp a few days in advance and the night before to confirm details. Pickup and driving was smooth and David was very informative along the way and very attentive to our needs and questions. He was very informative with details at each of the stops. It was nice to have a private driver with us at all times and letting an eye on our luggage. He really made this a great day. I highly recommend the company and the wonderful driver. Thank you David.

5.00We arranged with Adventure Travel to pick us up at Danang Aiport and have a private driver tour us through Monkey Mountain, Lady Buddha Temple and Marble Mountain. Our flight was delayed by close to an hour yet Hieu our driver was waiting patiently for us. Even though we had this delay, Hieu did not rush our day at all! He was an amazing driver, tour guide and photographer!! If you are lucky to get Hieu as your driver, you will not be disappointed! Thanks Hieu for a fabulous day!!

5.00We booked a transfer from the Da Nang airport to Hué — Davis was our driver — he was prompt and polite. We made a few stops at tourist locations along the way. We really enjoyed visiting the An Bang cemetery— truly astonishing.

5.00We took the biking/fishing day trip with Hung and had a marvelous time. Hung picked us up at our hotel with excellent-quality bikes. We started riding and were soon out of the city on to beautiful paths through rice paddies and little villages. We went to the Japanese Bridge and the local market, and had a drink and talked with Hung. He is knowledgeable and has a sense of humor—not really a tour guide but more of a friend. We rode to a dock and got on a small wooden boat and went out into a vast watery wilderness of fishing communities and tiny villages. We even got to cast a net to see how it is done—no luck! The best part of the day was an incredible seafood lunch way out on the water. Only local people were there and we met some charming kids who wanted to chat. The food was the best we had in Hue—fresh and simply prepared and four or five different kinds of seafood and fish.
