  The experience itself was nice with very good guides. Expected a few more recommendations on what to do in stops outside of the extra cost items. The travel bus was very nice. Our biggest problem was with communication on where to meet to start the tour. We got an address with the original booking, but from thereafter the meeting place details were blank (in the app). I used the ‘contact the tour opera tor’ a couple of times with no response. I finally found a ‘contact Viator’ option and they were very helpful. They even made an extra stop to pick us and another couple (who had the same issue) up along the way.

  Our guide Ganzo..was awesome. Very knowledgeable and kind and patient. We had a perfect day for it. A very short stop in interlaken but Grindelwald was beautifully. A few shops and a lively lunch outside with a beautiful Mountainview.

• Disappointed & too crowded

  I’ve booked many Viator trips prior to this one….unfortunately this trip was very disappointing. It was a HUGE bus with MANY people, with only 2 guides. The instructions were very confusing for all of us. The places we went were beautiful but the confusing instructions for what our options were once we got to the cities weren’t adequate. I heard this from many other passengers. It was basically transportation to the 2 cities and not much guiding or information.

  The scenery is beyond breathtaking! The Viator blurb was misleading and our guides needed to explain how the tour works to us. Travelers can get out at Interlaken or Grindewald. You choose what tours to do on your own. A train ticket is given to you back to Interlaken from Grindewald. Their brochure tells you what experience can be done given the amount of time. Then everyone meets back at the bus in Interlaken for the return trip to Zurich or Lucerne. The cost of the experience you choose is not included in the Viator tour. ( For example, cable car was around 70 Swiss Francs) The tour was given in English and Spanish. Otherwise, we wish there was not so much confusion especially if you expect to be taken to each point with a bus. But when many of us finally understood what was expected, it was fine.
