Vishnu is an exceptional tour guide. He is knowledgeable, interesting, personable, and we truly enjoyed the 5 days we spent with him. We felt taken care of in all aspects, and learned so much about the areas we visited. We could not recommend a tour with Vishnu more highly!

I stumbled across Vishnu and the Tours By Locals website when looking for day trips around Delhi. We completed a 3 day Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur tour with Vishnu and Mr Gee. At the commencement of our tour Vishnu asked what we wanted from our trip to India. Did we want to see monuments? Or did we want to see the real India? We opted for a bit of both! Vishnu took us to the most amazing places we would never have seen on our own. We saw plenty of monuments and had fun at the markets but it was meeting the local people that we especially enjoyed. We went to the villages to meet the locals, we helped feed meals to people at a temple, we posed for numerous selfies with the local people who requested them and we went on a Tuk Tuk. Most special of all, Vishnu took us to an elephant sanctuary where we got to spend time with beautiful Ladoo, who had been rescued from a circus. Vishnu responded to all of our requests regarding things we wanted to see and was very knowledgeable about India. He took us to reputable shops to purchase pottery and marble (at our request) and he even assisted with advice when completing the Visa application before we had even left home. As for Mr Gee, he is amazing. The driving style of people in India is terrifying. Staying in their own lane is optional. Cross the road (as a pedestrian) at your peril. It’s chaotic and I’m surprised there are not multiple car accidents everyday. Having said that, we never felt unsafe with Mr Gee. He’s a great driver and he patiently waited with the car (and our luggage tied to the roof) whilst we explored India with Vishnu. Both Mr Gee and Vishnu worked extremely long hours to ensure we saw as much of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur as we could in the limited time we had. They are wonderful ambassadors for India.

I was visiting India with my 13 years old daughter & 9 years old son. It was a big question in front of me to find a safe guide and driver as we were the first time visitor. I found Vishnu on Tourbylocals and from the first email he appears to be the best. We book him for the entire trip of Golden Triangle and it was a very good decision. We felt like a family and my children's enjoyed his company. From my arrival to departure, Vishnu was on time. His brief knowledge of India in remarkable. He also protect us from many tourist scams in Jaipur. We met him as a stranger and ended up as a permanent family member. His life is also very interesting. I have no doubt recommending Vishnu as your travel companion in India. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
