You will depart from Tbilisi and begin your journey toward the scenic mountains of Didgori, located just outside the city. The drive from Tbilisi to the Didgori Battle Memorial takes approximately 70 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions. Didgori is one of Georgia’s most important historical sites, known for the legendary Battle of Didgori (1121) — a decisive victory that shaped the country’s history. As you leave the urban landscape behind, the road gradually climbs into peaceful hills and open mountain fields, offering wide panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. The fresh air and quiet atmosphere create a strong contrast with the city. Upon arrival at the Didgori Battle Memorial, you will explore the impressive monument complex, set in a vast open landscape. The site is famous for its striking steel swords planted into the ground, symbolizing the warriors who fought here. At the center stands a tall column topped with a cross, representing faith and victory.

5.00What a well organized tour. It's a long trip , but totally worth it. Gogi , our guide did an excellent job explaining the country and all the regions along with the specific insights of vardzia , Rabati and Borjomi . The car was very comfortable. It's a must do tour ! One more time thanks to this company and To Gogi
