Wat Umong
After Pick up, we will visit Wat Umong. This temple set in the forest is completely different from other typical temples, this one is built inside a tunnel. Enter the tunnels of Wat Umong and see the impressive Buddha images. It doesn’t matter what religion you have. When you go inside the tunnel, it whispers to you the secrets of this world and the old history of this temple built in 1297.
Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep
Re-board the minivan and drive rolling hills surrounding Chiang Mai to experience the Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Then Climb a staircase of 306 steps leading to Doi Suthep temple. This staircase leading to the site is adorned with the impressive body of the mythical dragon-headed serpent, or Naga, snaking its way down 306 steps. This is definitely the best way to approach the temple but there is also a funicular railway if you are less steady on your feet. Reaching the top, admire the Lanna-style golden pagoda covered with engraved gold plates, flanked by four ornamental umbrellas, and a fantastic Night city view from the mountain.

4.00Nice small group and knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Both sites also have lots of history and worth seeing up close. Would have been nice to watch the sunset from the viewing platform at the top of the steps but that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting both sites. We chose the evening tour and were not disappointed. The air-conditioned van ride, both Pick Up and Drop Off to and from hotel, was safe and comfortable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, attentive, respectful and friendly. He was mindful of the range of ages and needs in his group, and provided support when needed. He took the time to highlight interesting historical references, meanings, and insights we would otherwise have missed. Doi Suthep was especially stunning, a feast for the eyes that left us speechless and in awe. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience

5.00Very interesting tour with a good guide. Especially we appreciated a lot a visit of Wat Doi Suthep, it is a special place with a magic atmosphere in the evening. The tour is surely advisable.

5.00It is worth this night visit. In addition to seeing it illuminated, heat and crowds of tourists are avoided. The girl who made us the guide very good, gave us very interesting information. Then he gave us a very good restaurant recommendation for dinner and even took us there. Top!

5.00Great experience. Our guide took the time to explain what Buddhism entails. He explained the story of the Buddha through the fresco that goes around the temple. It was really great. And the Doi Suthep at night plus the view of Chiang Mai is absolutely to do

5.00The visit was well organized. The Doi Suthep is very beautiful. Great visit with a very nice point of view. The guide was ok but we were expecting more from him.
