A 4WD in the sandy dunes of the deserts witnessing the sun going down into the depths of the golden sands will give any adventure lover the thrills of a lifetime. As the sun sets, the Al-Khayma Camp awaits you with a delicious BBQ and other fun-filled activities and when the stars light up the sky, be ready for an amazing star gazing session.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

It is highly recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.

We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.

The quad biking segment is solely the participant's responsibility. Any damage, injuries sustained or items lost during the quad tour are not covered by insurance

All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box

OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.

Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.

Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter

Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.

The 11:30 AM Timing slot comes with a Lunch buffet, and it doesn't include the Star Gazing & Fire show since it's during the day timing

Pickup will be within 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.

Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.

During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch only Fire shows in our desert camps

Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price. Quad biking is available if the option is selected.

Camel Ride: Children below 12 years of age cannot ride alone and must be accompanied by an adult.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept that some activities involve inherent risks and unforeseen incidents, and adequate travel and health insurance is strongly recommended for your safety and financial protection. Recommended Age for Self-Driving Activities: Sandboarding: 12-50 years, Quad Biking: 16–50 years. Animal-related activities (company not responsible for uncontrollable natural behaviour of animals): Camel Ride (Recommended age: 12–50 years) Falcon, Horse Riding.

Helmets & safety gear are highly recommended where applicable, and participation is entirely at your own risk, the company will not be responsible for any accidents, damage, loss, or death from these activities.

By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity. (If these conditions apply to you, you can wait at the meeting point until others complete the adventure activities.)

Pick Up Listen to miraculous humble beginnings of the land of dreams, Dubai, from our friendly safari captains who shall pick you up and keep you entertained for the 60 minutes’ drive in a 4x4 Vehicle across the deserts. Quad Bike Ride (Optional) Welcome to your first stop. Take your time here to relax and prepare yourself for the adventures ahead. The place provides good facilities for fresh-ups and if interested, you may avail the Quad Bike Ride option to zeal up your desert experience. Dune Bashing Pump up your excitement as you bash into the golden dunes of the Lahbab desert and be ready to kick up the dust as you go sand surfing here.

Feel like royalty as you enter the Al-Khyama camp where you shall be greeted with the traditional Qahwa (Arabic Coffee), Gaymat (Exotic sweets), Dates and unlimited soft drinks. The camel ride and posing with the falcon after the falconry session is a sure catch on this trip. Get dressed up in the ethnic Arabian clothes-kandura (men’s clothing), and abaya (Women’s clothing) and spend the evening as an Arab smoking shisha and having an Arabian Makeover with henna painting. We are very grateful to Oceanair for providing such a wonderful experience. Special thanks to our guide Shihab for his excellent communication and helpfulness throughout the tour. Everything was very well organized, and the tour was full and enjoyable. The activities and ambiance were great, and the food was delicious. Even though we joined with a baby and a child, the tour was very comfortable for us. We highly recommend this tour to families traveling with children.

We loved our evening desert tour! Our guide and driver Yaseen was the best - very attentive, expert at driving over the dunes and a fantastic photographer. We're returning home with incredible photos from the desert to show off to everyone. The stay at the oasis camp was very enjoyable despite light rain. The BBQ was really 5* with fresh bread, lamb and chicken tandoori in particular. We relaxed with a shisha until the show. The fire show especially was excellent, best one we've ever seen. Highly recommended tour!

This is a great experience to book whilst visiting Dubai - me and my husband both enjoyed the trip. Our guide, Iltaf was great - we did this trip on 28/01/2026 and found that the weather was great for this activity. We stopped off to do the quad biking/ATV experience 1st - we didnt add this on to our trip and instead chose to walk around the small shopping area, where we purchased head scarfs, souviners and were able to have a free drink. We then went into the desert - this was fun and very memorable! Along with the sand dune part. This is fun too - just remember it is a long walk back up the hill 😂 but drinks are provided! We then went on to the camp to see the shows, ride the camels and had the option of the henna tattoos, traditional drink, etc. This is great value for money and I think everyone should do this when visiting! 😊

Shaukat was amazing! I did this experience solo so it was nice that he was able to help capture the moments for me and made dune bashing memorable. He kept us on pace for a very full day and we were able to do everything: camel riding, atving, dune bashing, the dinner shows (fire show, dancing, photos with the falcon, Arabian horse exhibition). The food was incredible at the camp and well worth the value! You got to try so many different cuisines and follow it up with Arabic tea and coffee. Don’t think twice about booking this tour, but be prepared to hustle to get to all of the activities. They’re all worth it!

It was such a great experience, and our tour guide, Azam Khan, was the best—he was really friendly and an excellent photographer. The food was also amazing, with multiple cuisines, and driving in the desert just elevated the whole experience.

Amazing Private Desert Safari with an Exceptional Guide

We had an amazing desert safari experience with two friends and our 7-and-a-half-year-old daughter. We booked a private tour, and Nadeem was our guide for the entire day — he was absolutely fantastic. We arrived at the meeting point, a well-equipped desert camp with a refreshment area and activities such as quad biking and a falcon experience. From there, Nadeem took us for a short camel ride, which was a lovely and authentic introduction to the desert, followed by sandboarding, which was thrilling and a lot of fun for both adults and our child. After that, we went dune bashing, and Nadeem proved to be an extremely skilled and confident driver. He made the experience exciting while always making us feel safe. At the end of the tour, he took us to a panoramic viewpoint on top of a dune, where he helped us take stunning photos, suggesting beautiful poses and making sure we went home with unforgettable memories. Highly recommended — a perfect experience also for families with children, with a good price!
