Give a great end to your day in Dubai with our premium evening Red Dune Desert Safari. A 4WD in the sandy dunes of the deserts witnessing the sun going down into the depths of the golden sands will give any adventure lover the thrills of a lifetime. As the sun sets, the Al-Khayma Camp awaits you with a delicious BBQ and other fun-filled activities and when the stars light up the sky, be ready for an amazing star gazing session.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

It is highly recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing.

We highly recommend having international travel insurance, as self-driving activities carry inherent risks that may lead to serious injury. Coverage for such incidents is typically provided only through your personal insurance.

The quad biking segment is solely the participant's responsibility. Any damage, injuries sustained or items lost during the quad tour are not covered by insurance

All desert safari drivers are well trained and licensed for safari drives. The 4WD vehicles are fully insured and well equipped with all necessary safety features, such as roll bars, seat belts, government trackers, GPS, GMS, and a First Aid box

OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury.

Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.

Casual, loose fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter

Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, it is advised not to do it.

The 11:30 AM Timing slot comes with a Lunch buffet, and it doesn't include the Star Gazing & Fire show since it's during the day timing

Pickup will be within 45min prior to your selected departure time. Please be ready at the hotel lobby on time.

Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.

During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch only Fire shows in our desert camps

Everything listed in the Inclusions is part of the tour and is covered in the price. Quad biking is available if the option is selected.

By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity. (If these conditions apply to you, you can wait at the meeting point until others complete the adventure activities.)

Pick Up Listen to miraculous humble beginnings of the land of dreams, Dubai, from our friendly safari captains who shall pick you up and keep you entertained for the 60 minutes’ drive in a 4x4 Vehicle across the deserts. Quad Bike Ride (Optional) Welcome to your first stop. Take your time here to relax and prepare yourself for the adventures ahead. The place provides good facilities for fresh-ups and if interested, you may avail the Quad Bike Ride option to zeal up your desert experience. Dune Bashing Pump up your excitement as you bash into the golden dunes of the Lahbab desert and be ready to kick up the dust as you go sand surfing here.

Feel like royalty as you enter the Al-Khyama camp where you shall be greeted with the traditional Qahwa (Arabic Coffee), Gaymat (Exotic sweets), Dates and unlimited soft drinks. The camel ride and posing with the falcon after the falconry session is a sure catch on this trip. Get dressed up in the ethnic Arabian clothes-kandura (men’s clothing), and abaya (Women’s clothing) and spend the evening as an Arab smoking shisha and having an Arabian Makeover with henna painting. This was a great experience and it was time and money well spent. Our driver/ tour guide Sikandar was very gracious, friendly and caring. The food was great and the planned activities were engaging which gave a taste of the local culture. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I initially posted a 3-star review with honest feedback and constructive criticism, but the company responded by denying that I was ever a customer because they did not like the feedback. After realizing this was because I gave anything below a 5-star review, I found this extremely concerning. My integrity was questioned simply for providing truthful feedback, and this is the reason for this edited review from 3 star to one star. Original review (unchanged): "I went on the Dubai Desert Safari trip with Ocean Air, and overall it was a fun and exciting experience. The activities were enjoyable, the atmosphere was lively, and the food exceeded my expectations - truly delicious. There are, however, a couple of areas where the experience could be improved. The entertainment options were limited and there were long periods of downtime with nothing to do while waiting for dinner. Adding more activities or performances during that time would make a big difference in keeping guests engaged throughout the evening. Another small but meaningful suggestion: offering a spicy red sauce (similar to the hot sauce often served with shawarma) as an option during dinner would be greatly appreciated by those of us who enjoy a bit more heat in our meals. Additionally, while our driver was very kind and did an excellent job navigating the dunes and ensuring our safety, there was an issue that affected the comfort of everyone in the vehicle. His body odor became increasingly overwhelming as the tour went on, and because we were in a closed vehicle for several hours, it became hard to ignore. We all noticed it, but none of us felt comfortable mentioning it directly, especially considering cultural norms and not wanting to embarrass someone who was otherwise very polite and professional. Ocean Air is known for delivering exceptional experiences – and in many ways, they did. With a few adjustments, such as enhancing the entertainment options, adding a spicy sauce to the buffet, and reinforcing basic hygiene expectations for drivers, the tour could easily be perfect. Despite these points, the trip had many memorable highlights and I appreciated the effort put into making it an enjoyable evening."

The guide and driver Wakar was rude, un professional and was driving rash and overspending compromising our safety.

Your driver Wakar, who came to pic us up was very rude and arrogant and lacked basic courtesy to to show to an elderly 60 year old man. He was also driving rash in the city and overspending on the highway at 150 KMPH compromising our saftey. When asked he said why are we bothered as the fine would come to him.

Our tour guide was Shan who provided excellent customer service from the point he picked us up to the point he dropped us off. He provided a lot of information about Dubai, answered all of our questions, was very kind, polite and overall very helpful. The tour itself was very fun and our children had a blast. We would definitely like to go on more tours with this company especially with Shan as our guide.

Want an exciting day in the desert filled with thrills and must do activities, then this is the tour for you. Our wonderful guide, Walid, was engaging and informative. Walid provided a detailed overview of each activity / stop and made sure our group was having fun. I especially enjoyed the jeep ride in the dunes which is not for the faint of heart, but a must do for thrill seekers. The bar-b-que in the desert oasis was tasty, and the activities such as camel riding, feeding, henna tattoo, and falcon holding were perfect. This is a must do tour and this specific tour company is perfect. Make sure you book with this company (Oceanair) and I hope you’re lucky enough to have Walid as your tour guide! You will not be disappointed.
