Embark on a true Scottish adventure with our 3-day tour small group tour to Skye from Edinburgh. Journey through the magnificent Scottish Highlands, before arriving on the mystical Isle of Skye. Enjoy a full day exploring the island's most beautiful spots, before travelling back down to Edinburgh via the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan.
Choose between single, double, or no accommodation at time of booking and travel by air-conditioned coach throughout your journey.
This tour can be booked with accommodation included or without. Accommodation options include: hostel, B&B, or hotel. If choosing to book your own accommodation, please ensure it is within 2km of Portree town centre.
• Please note: from 3rd December 2024 our Edinburgh tours will depart from NCP Castle Terrace, EH1 2EW.

This tour can be booked with accommodation included or without. If booking your own accommodation, it must be within 2km of Portree town centre.
Luggage is restricted to one medium sized suitcase per person. For guidance: a medium sized suitcase is considered 60-69cm high and roughly 45cm in width. Luggage storage facilities operated by a third-party are available in Edinburgh.

Travel from Edinburgh to Portree
Luss Pier
From Edinburgh our Isle of Skye tour will head west to collect our Glasgow passengers* and then make our first stop on this Skye tour at the picturesque conservation village of Luss, on the ‘Bonny, Bonny’ banks of Loch Lomond.
Glencoe Lochan
Travelling north via Tyndrum we pass over the atmospheric Rannoch Moor before enjoying time to walk and admire the dramatic Glencoe, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald Clan.

5.00A big thank you to our guide Alan, who was great fun, informative, patient, and an exceptional driver even in sometimes challenging conditions (heavy rain, huge puddles, narrow streets, animals on the road, etc.). The tour is fascinating, taking you through beautiful landscapes and popular highlights. However, be prepared to spend quite a lot of time in the van on days 1 and 3. I would have loved to also include stops at Neist Point and Dunvegan Castle.

5.00We had a fabulous time with Timberbush and our guide, Adam. He was so knowledgeable about Scottish history. He made the experience so much fun. His Playlist and jokes were so entertaining. Our host, Kristi, made us feel right at home. And gave us a huge breakfast. I would recommend this tour for anyone.

5.00Our tour guide Seumas did an excellent job keeping the whole tour fun and interesting. The ride was broken up really well with frequent stops, informative conversation, interesting facts and Scottish music. Seumas was very flexible and accommodating and gave us choices of what to do and see. At the end of the tour, the entire bus was singing! What a fantastic trip. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Seumas for showing us a wonderful time!

5.00Our guide Scott was truly amazing, helpful, and attentive. He provided us with an unforgettable experience! A perfect knowledge of Scotland (historical, cultural, etc.) for fascinating anecdotes about the places visited and their history, as well as about pop culture. Discovery of breathtaking places, I highly recommend it.

5.00This was the best part of our 10 day trip to Ireland/Scotland. We loved every part of it. Everywhere we went was so beautiful. Adam our driver was incredible & took us to all the best places. He was super knowledgeable & knew the best times to go where. He really made sure we got the most out of the experience. He made the trip so so great & I’m hoping when I come back I can request him as our driver! I would recommend this tour to anybody, so if you’re debating between this one & another one absolutely go with this one!

5.00The 3 day tour from Edinburgh was wonderful. Our guide, Adam, was very knowledgeable, accommodating, had a great sense of humor, and is a genuinely nice person. Very lucky to have him as our guide– he truly enhanced our experience. Adam is a great storyteller as well– as we drove along various landmarks, he shared the history of the place and its significance. The tour was well designed and not too hectic. The group size was perfect and the minibus was comfortable. Our two nights were based in Portree (accommodation managed by Timberbush so we did not have to book ourselves) which provided us enough time to explore major landmarks in Skye as well as squeeze in a few proper hikes. Would highly recommend!

5.00The trip was very well organized even though we booked last minute. Sights were all amazing and our guide Adam was super knowledgeable and nice. He made sure we saw all the worthy sights and explained everything, both history and lore. Highly recommend!

5.00This tour is a must. I spent 3 days, 2 nights touring with Rabbie’s. From short hikes to learn about the mountain trains and breath the fresh air, this tour was one of the best experiences of my life. Our tour guide, Jim Divine, was amazing. He explained everything thoroughly and accurately but at the same time mmade sure we were not overwhelmed with information. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. Ask for Jim.

5.00Seumas was the best! Navigating the narrow roads of the Highlands with ease, extremely knowledgeable about sites and history, recommended the best restaurants (and whiskey). He is a native and authentically knows about and is passionate about the area and the culture. HIGHLY recommend.
